    Thank you for the great tips and tricks, you are doing a great job at what you do, I wasn’t aware that the ext. cable/head and bag was available for the 600pro!!! Thank you very much, I ordered today from Adorama, but also discovered that the AD200 also has a six foot ext head. AD200V2/ cable and additional acc. Carry bag that mounts to your C stand, so I had to order 2 of those!!! Just make sure that you order the AD200 Version two kit, as it addresses compatibility issues with the AD-B2 adapter... the uses of these items are endless, but the security and insurance of a fall is priceless

    Man I watched this video right before a shoot today and glad I did .. I forgot my trusty AD360 at home and only had my Godox V860II on a super bright day here .. ain't gone lie, almost panicked and asked my client to wait while I drive back and get my AD360 .. But decided to man up, act like a pro, took some deep breathes, wiped away the sweat, exposed for my ambient, put that V860II on my stand with a 24x24 softbox, and went for it ...Man I rocked the heck outta that shoot, pushed that V860II for all it had to give, but got it done .. thanks for a timely video upload...and I love your model...she's full of flava and personality

    Good video my man. I remember your channel from a couple of years back and just re found you. I also have the X600 (manual) flash with the extension head. Havent had much time to shoot on location OCF, and was thinking about selling the extension head. But after watching your video, I was quickly reminded as to why I purchased it in the first place. I have the next size up glow softbox but its really too deep and front heavy. I'm going to pick up the 34" like you used and get my ass back out to shooting! thanks again.

    Great video! I noticed you were turning off and on the flash trigger. You can assign a custom button to use “Shot Result Preview”. That would enable you to see your ambient. No need to turn your flash off and on.

    • @BrandonColePhotography
      @BrandonColePhotography  4 года назад +8

      That was done due to the fact that when you teach, you do things in a way that EVERYONE can understand, not just people who have an A7lll to assign a button. So since all cameras are not created equal, I do it the way everyone can do it like BEFORE we had a custom button :)

      That is a ninja Atmos, it is quite an expensive video recording monitor. He was using it so that we were able to see through the cameras viewfinder for the video. But it wouldn’t typically be used just as a monitor. If you only want to something to preview your shots, you can find much cheaper monitors on Amazon.

    • @BrandonColePhotography
      @BrandonColePhotography  4 года назад

      James Mason Slowing your shutter doesn’t brighten the flash but if you take a shot like I did at 1/2500 and it’s too dark, I knew all I had to do is slow the shutter to match what the flash output was at the time which was 1/16

    When you changed your shutter speed from 1/2500 to 1/1600, i didn't know it would affect your flash output. Is it only for speeds not in hi speed sync?

    • @BrandonColePhotography
      @BrandonColePhotography  4 года назад

      Leon King it didn’t affect my flash output. The flash stayed on 1/16. I didn’t really need to change it because of the shot I took at 1/2500 which was too dark so I just needed to slow down the shutter a little for a good flash

    • @mosomos89
      @mosomos89 2 года назад

      So technically, when you adjust shutter speeds in the HSS range (typically 1/250 - 1/8000) there is a power loss the faster you go. This is because high speed sync is achieved by your flash emitting thousands of micro flashes over a longer duration than a typical flash. As you increase your shutter speed your image sensor is exposed to fewer of these micro flashes, therefore absorbing less light overall.
