Cool tip for some boss pedals, you can unscrew the back and flip it over and then you have a perfectly flat surface for the hook and loop tape. Also, i think every guitarist has said "ha, look at that idiot with all them pedals - i only need an overdrive" And then once they fall down the rabbit hole, it's more like "Hmmm, I think i need a 4th overdrive"
Woah!! That is an awesome tip for the boss pedals, I didn't know that! Haha so true, I'm also trippin down that pedal rabbit hole. I kinda want a mini fuzz. And a treble booster. And another delay wouldn't hurt either! The Nano+ limited space is keeping my wallet safe... for now :P
I have never had to use a blow dryer to keep my velcro from peeling up. I have 2 Pedaltrain units and before that I had a T.Rex pedal board and the only time the velcro came off is when I took it off myself. What you do want to do is remove the rubber feet from your pedals as the velcro will not stick to that properly. Rip it off and stick the velcro directly to the metal.
Thank god I checked this on RUclips.. I’m trying to build a mini gig/convenient rig aside from my Classic JR but didn’t know nano+ could only handle 4 pedals without a PSU 😮
A box from bax, always a sign that you are having a good day :) The nano + looks longer than I expected. I actually want to make 2 pedalboards in the end because I would like to have a small and a larger one. One with just a tuner, compressor and one or two other effects to grab and go. And a larger one with my pre-amp/di, synth pedal, delay and all the other razzamataz I want to cram in there. That would mean however that I need to buy some pedals twice (like my tuner) because I don't want to go through the hassle of swapping pedals every time. That kind of defies the purpose of having a small grab-and-go pedalboard. Thanks for the review, clear and concise!
Oh my sorry for not getting back to you sooner! The nano+ length surprised me too :) Glad you liked the review! Having to buy duplicate pedals would be a bit inefficient but maybe you could hook up a tuner on a separate loop like a return/send at the back of the amp? Could be a way to fix it!
My main board ended up with 12 pedals, but I've just bought a PedalTrain Nano+ to make a practice board with 6 pedals (Compressor, Overdrive, Distortion, Delay, Reverb then Strymon Iridium for amp & cab sim). Not seen the hairdryer trick before.
@@PieterSneep Depends what kind of reverb you are looking for. There's a Wampler Faux Spring reverb and the TC Electronic Hall of Fame Mini 2 that might be worth checking out. Hope you find what you're looking for.
I just started going down the pedal rabbit hole after years of using multi-effects pedals and I bought the Nano+ yesterday. I wasn’t sure what the best way to add the Velcro would be and your video helped a lot, thanks! One of my pedals is a beast though (RAT2) and the feet are too tall to use the Velcro, and they hold the unit together so I can’t just remove them, I’ll come up with something 😅
Hello , i have a Aclam pedalboard,no Velcro needed. I have 10 pedals on it. Mxr dynacomp, mxr phase 90,Ibanez tubescreamer 808 and Boss dd8, TC Electronic hall of fame are free of the pedals on it.
I just ordered a Nano+ to downsize from a giant Rockboard Quad 4.2... That thing weighs 6,5kg, just too heavy to carry to rehearsal with public transport... The Nano+, with a polytune mini, pog2, TS Mini, Mooer Black Secret, EQD Cloven Hoof and Boss RV-R, will weigh about 2,5 kg!
I want to get this, but I'm not entirely certain if my MXR DC brick will fit on the underside or not. Also, not sure how heating up the glue is going to make a ton of difference, but go for it lol.
Oof I can't tell you whether the power supply would fit! Best to check it out at a store if they're around? Apparently heating up the glue makes it go around the edges more but I don't have anything to compare it to so who knows ;D
I got a tuner I always forgot to use and a big muff that makes my bass sound trashy. Great unboxing and your audio quality is superb - what mic is that? Also, where is the WAH WAH pedal?
Good ol' Muff ;D Thank you brother! Mic is a Scarlett condenser mic, came with the Focusrite Studio package! focusrite.com/en/usb-audio-interface/scarlett/scarlett-2i2-studio All my WAH WAH's are brokennnnnn :( :( :(
Heya good question! Try this: pedalboardplanner.com/ it lets you select any of the pedaltrain pedalboard sizes and you can plan your pedalboard with different size pedals. Not sure what size your wah is but maybe have a look at the Pedaltrain Metro pedalboards? Good luck ;D
I have a board big enough for a wah but it makes them really heavy. I am looking at keeping my wah in a gig bag and placing it next to a Nano board in future. I love big boards but sometimes you gotta travel light.

That sounds like an awesome extra setup on the side! I'm still looking for a compact reverb pedal to add to the nano!

That's great! I love how small boards make you go back to the essentials only and make the most out of whatever you can fit! No more haulin' :)

The TrueTone CS6 power supply is superb and fits under Pedaltrain Nano and Metro boards.
Tuner in the left instead of the right is diabolical

How about power supply and cables???
I need to get one to fit a wah pedal, they are pretty big and I was hoping this would fit but it looks like it wont. What do you recommend?

Get a mini crybaby wah
Velcro height for a replacement on a second hand one?
I don't understand your question :0 I'm sorry!!
Pro tip: Use Dual Lock instead of velcro.
A little help. Dual looks like Velcro, Why Dual Lock Pros and cons?
@@Town101 it keeps the pedals on the board much better. The pedals wouldn't come off if you didn't want to
Smaller than I thought lol
Dang, why are my pants off?
No need for pants in quarantine!!
Just watch for the sticky side of the Velcro 😂
i will never understand why these guys think they need to be funny. a freaking waste of time imo.
Welcome to the channel!
@theID2 You probably think that you're funny but that's a freaking wasting you time imo.
@@chrisb3976 really? you saw an attempt at humor in my post? personally, your opinion means nothing and you'd have been wiser to just butt out.
