This same type of bike is my neighbor's only source of transportation and he was having a front carb issue. Your video helped us tremendously in getting him back on the road..You are truly awesome
Glad it helped
I had no idea that the rear cylinder was #1. At least the removal of the front carb isn't to bad. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mike !
The video was very informative Great video you did bud.
Thanks 👍
Awesome video,I just bought an 03 Suzuki marauder and it's running on the back cylinder because gas was coming out of a tube on the front carb so I needed to see how to remove mine so I can put a kit in it,thanks and keep up the good work.
This is an excellent video kind sir. Thank you very much for sharing very helpful very informative. You're awesome man God bless you
Thank You. Kind words Indeed !
Thanks bro
First of all, that bike is in showroom condition. For a 20+ year old that is amazing, good job.
I was just given a '92 800. I plan on chopping and bobbing and cleaning it up. But I gotta say, this bike is the weirdest, most unnecessarily complicated piece of machinery I have ever worked on. It's seriously took me all day to strip it down to motor and wheels. I had to watch this video just to figure out how to separate the choke line from the two carburetors. Turns out, the choke was just stuck in the carb. Everything is stuck shut....
Yeah @lemongopher, Suzuki made it very difficult for us tinkerers. Glad I could help out a little
thanks for posting this!
You bet!
i fell asleep watching this night lol ,very kool tfs
Glad you enjoyed
If you're doing this.
Just cut the damn plastic ties on the wires lol.
It'll make ALL of this SOOOO much easier. And then just tie them back.
Good video, Much appreciated information.
Glad it was helpful!
You're awesome dude. Thanks
Thank you very much. Hope the video helped !
No, seriously.. lol. You. Are. Awesome. Thank-you very much dude.
Thanks for watching !
Does it take a special tool to fit the carb drain screw because i have stripped mine and having a hard time with it . thank you .
Yes most Japanese bikes use JAL screws. It is has a special angle on the screw that makes it easy to strip when using a standard Phillips screwdriver. Just look for some JAL Screwdrivers. They are not expensive.
@@mothershipmotorsports9802 It's actually JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) You can buy JIS screwdrivers, but pretty much every Japanese motorcycle came with a tool kit that included a JIS screwdriver. You think this is hard, just try removing and reinstalling the carburetors on a Kawasaki Vulcan 750. It will make you want to push the bike over a cliff.
Was syncing the carbs back up hard? Lol
@@JoshuaGrissom-jk9iz Not really with the right sync device.
What's the float height supposed to be. Ive got.a 96 intruder 800
Do you rebuild the secondary carburetor also? Also, my intruder max mph is 65mph. Is that normal or what could or can I do to increase the mph or what’s wrong with it? I’m beginning to think because of my weight. I’m 265 pounds. I’m not obese, but I’m dead weight. Thanks
Yes I rebuilt both, they are similar. That is NOT normal. I Had a similar problem, it ended up being restriction in the air filter. It was wet with oil blow back. I had to rebuild the carbs and re route the breather tube
Thanks !
Thank you !
like the info. do you have tips on taking out the rear carb or is it similar?
The Rear carburetor is similar. Both are wedged in pretty good. The interior of the carbs is very similar.
Hey, i just bought a suzuki marauder 98, is it the same way to remove the carburetor?
I am not sure. I have never messed with the Marauder. Sorry.
This job is a pain in the ass I will never buy another suzuki marauder
It REALLY is. I think the Suzuki engineers must have had tiny hands !
Could you help me please, how to connect the cdi or tci thank you very much
I woukd have to know more about uour situation, but if the wiring has not been messed with it is a simple plug in.
@@mothershipmotorsports9802
I do not have the wiring and I intend to do it with the diagram, but the diagram does not tell me exactly where the positive current, the ground, and the high coil are connected, you could help me through a small video just showing me the colors and how to connect please
This is a really stupid video to take all that apart and not replace the floats in the cabs. WTF. Mostly that is what starts causing the leaks.
I have never had a float problem on these bikes. So I have never needed to change them. Thanks for watching !
