The underlining point is Luigi is angry at corporations and used a gun to show his anger. So it would be ok if someone angry at elderly abuse to take it out on the owner of nursing homes?
They are trying so hard to make Luigi the bad guy. Nursing homes have always been horrible places unless you have money for the insures to suck dry. Its like they have never been to the real America.
I used to work as a private investigator, investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, and theft in state-funded nursing facilities. ALL nursing homes have issues. It's possible Luigi found out how little Medicare and Medicaid pay for patient rehab care when he worked in his families nursing home.
Either what he did was justified or not. The character of his much older family members is irrelevant. Has he ever worked at these facilities? No. Your last video even showed he's not getting his inheritance $ either. This video is silly.
Why didn't they care about nursing home csre before? Or the fact that in context, this is nothing new for nursing homes. Almost like healthcare all across the fields and specializations are understaffed, underfunded and places for abuse to happen. Which the main point is, WHAT does this have to do with Luigi? Is he so clean that we have to go up his family tree to find dirt? Why don't we dig up the CEO's accusations and all the dirt on him?
This is related to him - he was angry at healthcare corporations and took matters into his own hands. What if someone was angry at nursing home owners, like Luigi’s parents, and decided to take matters into their own hands? You’d defend that person’s actions?
I've been saying what Mangione witnessed at his parents' place of business is what triggered what he thinks of any type of health care. He must've had more insight on the business side of things, as he would've been considered to one day take over from his parents.

How sad is it to have to leave your loved ones in nursing homes where you know that they are getting substandard help! But since hospice care is so expensive, you can't take care of them at home. One of my colleagues had the same dilemma about her mother. She loved her but couldn't help the situation.
Come on now!! Show us ONE nursing home without violations! These places are the WORST places to warehouse the elderly. They are ALL HORRIFIC! Each nurse has like 30-40 patients each. Try examining ALL the nursing homes in the country!
These places are horrifying! they are understaffed and underpaid and they do treat the residence. Horrible. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
This goes to my theory that this whole thing was a dispute between very rich people and Luigi is just the fall guy.
This is ridiculous. These residents are paying 4-5k a month
"in the nursing home business" / "dark history in the nursing home business" why bother with these synonyms
Convincing to poor that the rich care about them was the devils greatest trick.
The irony of coming from a wealthy family, who have made their money through capitalism does not go unnoticed, young man
Exactly
That was also my first thought when I heard about his family’s businesses. I wonder how he would feel if someone murdered his grandfather.
@kc0jtl it seems like people are willing to back a murderer. We all know what happens when we allow vigilantism to run rapid
You don’t know what irony is.
What’s ironic about someone with knowledge of the for profit healthcare system, finding it problematic?
The irony is strong with this one.
I beg for this young man someone noble!!
Wow, nursing home violations and he is being portrayed as a hero to some. His past isn’t clean.
It’s so ironic that his families entire fortune (yes they have multiple country clubs) was built on seeing sick old ppl as commodities. This wasn’t about health insurance imo. This was about his anger and depression over not having gf or quality of life d/t injury.
He had plenty of girlfriends tho
The owners have nothing to do with any abuse that's reported! It's the employees duhh!
Media sticking to the script. vilify the hero. lol No matter how horrible you guys paint Luigi. It is not even a fraction, of a fraction, of a fraction, of a fraction...........of a fraction to what the CEO and the healthcare industry has done and continues to do to Americans
It’s clear what needs to be done . Jury Nullification
Why don't we look into all the troubling claim denials... As a society we all agree he's justified in his actions
Now do a report about all of the UHC denied claims
This is every where in nursing homes.
His extended families business practices have nothing to do with what he did. I nearly put my back out from this stretch. Thankfully its covered by socialised medicine in Australia.
And this has to do with him...
How?
Now you’re just digging up dirt that has nothing to do with this case. The incidents sound bad but compare them to other nursing facilities. Dig up their competitor reports now, to be fair.
