I get what you’re saying but i think what that comment meant was coming from a place of stop bullying people or try to make them look weird because they don’t put their real life values on fictional characters. And that dude definitely is not alone with thinking that most of the anime community in japan thinks this way, they separate fiction from reality. Okay for Boa Hancock the only thing that I can really say about that one is she spent most of her life hating men Luffy is the only man that gotten this lucky and even then they could have killed him and for a little added contest okay when Luffy was fighting those two snake women Luffy end up a mark on their back and due to Lucy knowing what that marker means he protects them and not have the audience to see it because they shouldn't know this information and even when you're trying to literally kill him he does nothing but treat them with kindness and probably the only man on that island that did not take advantage of any of these women and then later when she noticed that he was protecting all three of them by hiding that Mark from the audience she asked him to come and see so she can confirm that he knows about this Mark so the mark it's basically a brand that Celestial dragons put on their slaves and what you say that people ain't going to take it while they knew about this so he was probably the first person that seen it and actually treat her like a person because of it that's why she fell for him and not to mention his kindness yeah it is still a red flag when he was 17 but at least you can say that in two years he becomes 19 I ain't saying that it's right I'm just being fair the writer could have made her younger but if he did that that will be an issue I don't need to the tell you why Boa Hancock at least you can say Luffy becomes 19 but still everyone on this list jail especially Roxy you did it to the Man when he was vulnerable you can probably say that he'll be okay with it but NO! you don't do that the writers could have made radius older it cost nothing and even that point it is still not okay there was no consent and for Mei Mei I don't think I need to say anything about this one you already know this is messed up
