I myself love the decks Fontaine cards put out. I myself only have two though, wish I had more but they just seem out of reach. And there is so many to choose from. But that’s a good thing though. But they become so pricey on the secondhand market. And it’s all followed by the words “rare, sold out” and that is supposed to justify the outrageous amounts it’s being sold for? The numbers to me at this point have no meaning because they’re still going to be considered rare. That’s the part of Fontaine cards I do not like and will not ever support. But I love the cards, I love the impact Zach has made on the cardistry community. I love cardistry and collecting decks.
True, it sucks when some of your favourite cards just so happen to be the most rare. You can get most of the common/ uncommon even rare cards for pretty cheap now though through some retailers. They’re not completely out of reach
Thanks for the content! For once the youtube algo worked!! I'm not "in" the community, don't do magic or cardistry and have a mediocre collection of just random decks that I think look cool. So for me hearing about how passionate the community as a whole are, and the history behind the decks and brands is fascinating. So a +1 from me for part 2. Can also relate to your comments in regards to the first year FOMO, I was thankfully saved from that by lack of finances, although I did impulse buy 6 decks of Bicycle Elephant decks (yes the baby-puke-green ones) cause they were cheap on ebay 🤮😂
I love when the algo works in our favor! It’s a fun community and I’ve gotten to know so many people that I get to talk to regularly about something so fun. I’ve gotten decks before where I “bought the deal” because they were “only $3/ deck” then I have 4 decks of something I “just had to have” and am like 😐 Thanks for checking out the video!

I dislike the stone cold marketing strategy of hype brands, which even involve psychological strategies. It would be nice as a community contribution in the sense of 'from cardists for cardists' and therefore greedy marketing is misplaced, especially considering that most cardists are very young. The main problems are limitations with the message "never be reprinted" and the already high prices upon release.
i might add, your 4 hours of practice a day would probably have you burning through decks? or maybe they get better with time? or maybe it depends on the sleight? i have all the questions now. going to need to get you on on an episode
