Phenomenal video! I’m 12 days away from my Step 2 CK exam and listening to these to get into the NBME mindset. A question; What if we have high suspicion for GCA based on history and examination, NBS? ESR or steroids? I get the biopsy part since that’s time taking, but what about ESR, that takes only a few minutes. I’m probably overthinking about this but would love your input!
If you're strongly suspecting GCA what difference would getting an ESR done, make? Will it considerably influence the already-high pretest probability? ESR is a non-specific test anyway, it is literally raised in even IDA
@@imaneboumaraf726 happy to help. If something shows up, it’s simply because it’s high yield. My NBME 12 review I posted will absolutely catapult your score if you watch it before taking nbme 12 tho , so he warned about that :)
amazing video! Just have 1 doubt I didn’t understand the vortioxetine point In dementia we usually want more cholinergic effect But vortioxetine is anticholinergic?

The concept of curve disrespecting questions is so cool because it’s taking care of topics one can otherwise overthink and mess up. Loved this video!
Thank you so much for your support!
Super helpful after you get past the foundational HY topics, and want more peripheral HY topics. Great job!
Great to hear! Glad it helped you :) Please feel free to share with friends

Hello Dr. Price, great video. Do you only do Step 3 classes or is there a Step 2 prep program also? Thanks!
99% of the students I work with is for Step 1&2. We have an entire step 1-3 program for each aspect of them!
Awesome, thank you! 🙏

Begin treatment as soon as GCA is suspected. No matter what the options are. That has never steered me wrong 👍

amazing video!
Just have 1 doubt
I didn’t understand the vortioxetine point
In dementia we usually want more cholinergic effect
But vortioxetine is anticholinergic?
Not everything is super predictable with meds w/ multiple MOA
This was soo helpful
I’m so grateful to hear that! Thanks for dropping your feedback 👍
I thought ibs had to have pain too
It doesn’t always. There are multiple subtypes of ibs
