      Yeah, cause it is an actual Tournament while in the actual games all the fights are happening outside the tournament and sometimes being recorded by some random ass drone it's only a few fights that take place in the tournament and most of them aren't even canon.

    Man, i love this game. This is the game where i got completely serious with tekken. I learn most of the fundamentals of tekken in this game. Poking, spacing, okizeme, wall combos, wall pressure, and many more. This is the game where i learn, practiced, and refined my EWGF with Kazuya. And that tag mechanic, i love it. The many, many single player mode just really sweetens the game. I've had a lot of firsts in tekken with this game, so i could and would never hate this game. So, i'll look forward to your revisited videos of TTT2

    I personally love the Tag games from a casual aspect, always a good time with my dad and my friends, and I love the revamped movesets old characters got like Jun and Michelle, even seeing characters I thought I would never get to see again like Forest Law, Tiger, Ogre, and Doctor B. Its was my literal wet dream having literally every Tekken character back. The tag system and combo possibilities was really cool.
    That being said I can see how terribly unbalaced the tag games and thats a big OOF. I hope if we ever get Tag 3, they dont overcomplicate the mechanics.
    Edit:In terms of the whole clone thing, I can accept the clones that were already existing characters(again as I mentioned before, loved seeing Forest Law and Tiger, and Im even fine with Miharu since she was a thing in Tekken4)....but some like Slim Bob and Sebastian existing I can agree is kinda dumb

    Tekken Tag 2 is one of the best-looking games of its generation. Having realistic hair and skin textures as well environmental effects. It was also the first fighting game to implement environmental effects that interact with the characters body, such as dirt, water, and paint/ink that stain on the character's skin and clothes for a certain amount of time.

    Selling the game for PC would've made so much more sense than for the WiiU. I don't know anyone who associates Wii, WiiU, or Switch with fighting games without referring to Smash Bros or TvC. Going the PC route would've sold so many more copies, especially since consoles aren't nearly as popular in Asia are they are in the US and Europe.

She was C-tier at best. Why? Worst damage in the game, most of her key moves are unsafe. In a game where you basically have two life bars, as a poking character she did baby damage compared to everyone else. This is one of the best labbing games ever for whoever likes that as much as I do. And playing my team from the past felt... great, just great. Drag/AK. I like this game, I understand the point that all the mechanics that make this game complicated are not apart of tekken fundamentals which is true. Yet those mechanics are what makes it great from a marginal standpoint like mine. I wonder if we will ever get a tag tekken game again

    I can understand that in a competitive level it can have its problems, but as a casual player who plays mostly with friends and both them and me are unable to perform those infinite combos, the game is the dream Tekken: the whole roster from the WHOLE saga, lots and lots of moves, colourful and innovative stages, more than decent graphics, loads of content, AMAZING music customization (you could assign ANY song from previous Tekkens and also any song you had in your console to any stage, having Emotionless Passion sound in the stage where you fight Jinpachi and Heihachi was priceless), and loads of nostalgia.
    Had they balanced a few abusive moves, forbidden to play clones and patched the damage system, maybe even eliminating rage, and it would be the best in the series for me without a doubt.
    As it stands, anyway, it's a very nice rendition to Tekken and its characters, was more respectful to the lore and legacy than some official and numbered Tekkens and in general I felt it was a love letter to the series. Getting to fight Jun in the final stage, being able to play as Jin and transform into Devil Jin, listening to the intro theme with the same pianovmelody from original TTT...
    For me, it's a very underrated game and I still play it regularly.

  • @TekkenBunny
    @TekkenBunny 5 лет назад +1

    The most frustrating part of the game was the Tag system itself.
    Open Stage Combo into Oki against lets say an Ogre/Asuka Team:
    You have to think about Backroll, Techroll, Quickstand, Wakeup Kicks, Lay still, Sideroll, Ogres Fly Over, Asuka tagging in doing nothing, sliding in, parrying, high crushing with a dick jab or low crushing with d3+4 - and Tag Crash
    In Tekken 7 it is almost 50/50, in TTT2 you had like 13 different wakeup / tag options. And guessing wrong would most of the time result in a launch, which was fucking frustrating. Even more with the combination of the endless juggles and immense damage. It turned a bit into a turn-based game. 10 seconds for one player, then he can tag launch you and have his own 10 seconds.
    Raw Tag into random crush move was also the most reliable way to Tag, because you could attack faster than you could block, which doesn't make sense at all. Yeah ofc you could space and punish that shit, but the game itself would want you to press a button after Tagging in always forcing a Mixup situation
    TTT2 solo mode would have been a great game in total. More balanced than T6, and a bit harder than T7 with a interesting Oki + Throw system. But I am not talking about Solo Player vs a Tag Player - that was shit again.

      @mikhailmikhailov8781 5 лет назад +1

      >In Tekken 7 it is almost 50/50,
      How is that any better than tag2? Losing because you guessed wrong 2-3 times vs devil jin is infinite more frustrating than losing in tag2, because you woke up in a stupid way. If you woke up in a stupid way and got punished for it, you could fix that and you wouldnt be as frustrated, because you would know what you lost to. In tekken 7 you can just lose, because the other guy was better at flipping coins than you and had no better recognizable strategy than you.

    • @TekkenBunny
      @TekkenBunny 5 лет назад

      @@mikhailmikhailov8781 I am also not the biggest fan of T7s Oki system.
      But the main point of T7 guessing wrong (as a defender), is that you eat a mid or a low and that doesn't have to be a launcher.
      In TTT2 guessing wrong will result in 90 % of the time in a launcher and it is not only limited to the defending part, but also as the attacking part. Someone is almost always getting launched.

    I’ve been playing Tekken since the first one, played them all but Tag1, but Tag 2 was the first time I ever took it seriously.
    Learned about frame data, kbd, proper punishes, optimal combos, etc
    Because it did compel you to learn all of that, because it was a very technical game, and you knew there was stuff going on you didn’t understand.
    I mean T7 is amazing, an amazingly balanced fantastic masterpiece, it’s really really fun and I love it.

    I think Harada said that they had to reduce Tag 2's graphics to ensure full performance/60fps while showing 3-4 fighters onscreen. Sure it's 2 characters most of the time but during Tag combos it's usually 3 characters sometimes 4. And I can understand I mean the PS3 is not the most powerful console ever. Tekken 6's texture and shader looks much better, look at the skin of every character in that game. I couldn't leave the arcade when I first saw Tekken 6, even though I was done playing I stayed for a while more just to watch others play and admire the graphics.
