EXTRA TIPS midfielders should of course be aware of: 🔑 *ALWAYS* look over your shoulder before receiving the ball. This is the most basic thing in the book and should come automatically. 🔑 Try to position your body correctly *BEFORE* receiving the ball. We have covered it in this video ruclips.net/video/WSOiSIMN-QY/видео.html
Sorry but I think first rule isnt fully correct because great midfielders and professional players in general must know what is behind them before ball goes to them, therefor if they are coming to receive ball from defender they must know if someone is behind them and then it depends will they turn or pass the ball back to the defender.
Concerning tip #1: I'd say take a look over your shoulder to check if you are under immediate pressure by a defender. If so, pass the ball back. If not, you can turn quickly and move the game forward.
If you watch a video of players like: Frenkie de Jong, Iniesta, Xavi, Modric... you’ll notice that they’re always watching their backs and are always looking for possibilities before they ask/receive the ball
I'm a CM but I play like a forward. While I do make plays in the midfield, I dribble ALL OF THE TIME. So far this season I have 11 goals and 7 assists in 15 matches. It's the most efficient way for me to play and the most fun to be able to create chances for myself and my teammates.
Bro playing for a long period of time with ur team mates can make u stay calm while playing with other teams (experience) .Go ahead a try to play with ur team for more time🤙🤙
Antoine Griezman at this day and age does it matter your age anymore?😂😂😂the amount of 10 to 14 year olds that are over 6’ is stupid😂😂😂😂what matter at this point is your physicality, athleticism and football IQ. I’m barely 6’ yet ik some kids way younger than me who are 6’1” and 6’2”
I can’t agree with the first one 😬 If you’re good enough , you’ll know when to turn and when to pass back All based on your reading of the game and your awareness of the situation
I have a tip for the first one, always check your surroundings before you receive a pass so check your shoulders or behind you before you get a pass and if you are being pressured pass back if not then you can turn
Thanks I am learning as I am over' 55. Years old midfielder training for a seniors football team here in Jamaica I am the captain as well I do enjoy the game very much alone with my team mates they do enjoy too we are grand mother's very proud s ones too appreciate your video God bless
I would also add, being able to use both feet is such a useful tool in the center of the field! You can switch play to either side easily and that can start an attack.
Thank you UNISPORT for the midfield videos. Your videos keeps making me a better player and more about myself. I have now been a lot better compared to my old self and the new me is a lot better. Thank you !
tip #3 with the through ball or the ping pass it depends on the attacker run, if their run is straight pass the ball with a little curve to it, and if their run is curved have a more straighter pass
I think touching on the first point your defender and u shud communicate before the game so u can discuss about them letting u know when u have the space to turn immediately
Nayan Dey physicality isn’t everything. I’m also not extremely physical but I am able to play defensive mid very well because I am good at reading the game (defensively) and good at playing long balls. Each position has something that is more necessary that physicality. Find out what you are good at instead of looking at what you can improve on and pick a position off that. Then as you strengthen those weaknesses you may move into another position
@@alexk6804 yes... that's why i play in left or right mid knowing my physical...so i don't play in central mid..but yes sometimes i play in defensive mid also because though i am not so strong but i have that much of confident to tackle or intercepate my opposition..by the way thank u for ur suggestion🤘😎🤘
For rule #1, you can check your shoulder first, and make a body turn while receiving the ball. However this would require continuous training in order to make it perfect.
have good awareness, passing, ball control, dribbling, shielding and shooting. always keep moving, play quick under pressure and find space. shoot when near the box. develop vision and play the simple pass don’t play the big pass and last is switch the field. I no longer play but that’s what my coach taught me.
Could you guys bring back the uncut series when you guys talk about all the new releases that was one of my favorite series on the channel. Keep up the great work
With regards to having your back towards goal communication is vital between the fullback and and halfback. The fullback can say things like "man on" or "turn" helping the halfback make a better decision. And yes, the halfback has to have his head on a swivel being aware of his surroundings at all times.
EXTRA TIPS midfielders should of course be aware of:
🔑 *ALWAYS* look over your shoulder before receiving the ball. This is the most basic thing in the book and should come automatically.
🔑 Try to position your body correctly *BEFORE* receiving the ball. We have covered it in this video ruclips.net/video/WSOiSIMN-QY/видео.html

Of course! Midfielders, and other positions aswell, should *always* look over their shoulder and scan the pitch. Always!
Also the defender should talk and tell you “turn” if there’s space.
This is what I wanted to explain, thanks lol 😂
@@abirdtoe yes
exactly i was thinking that too

1. Take a view of the field before taking a pass from your CB even if your facing them or not
thanks
True. Good vision is important.
This is what separates good midfielders from the average ones.Positional awareness
I am going to play keeping that in mind

I think as a midfielder myself, the most important thing in game is to be able to use both feet, rn I’m working on my weak foot
Yeah those three things are really important👍
