I so appreciate your refreshing humor and storytelling. Thank you for delving into the specific hows of the 8 -fold paths in connection to the 4 noble truths. Your clarity and compassion have opened up many doors for me in my profession as an educator and in my person life as a survivor of various forms of traumas and abuse.

    FEET in mouths.
Such a habit. Thinking all these thoughts. Mouths open. Feet in.
But, we have so much reverence for education. Education is key to success, we say. Education is knowledge for empowerment. Power equals Knowledge. Etc. Etc. Etc.
So, mouths open. OPEN WIDE. Such a sanctioned response to our "education..."
Love Ajahn Brahm so much. there, I said it.... :)

It's true. You can do far more damage with words that hurt. Words are more painful than being physically beaten. My parents used to call me " stupid ". It damage my self confidence for life.

I’m only an expert of my own experiences but How about my using the 20 second pause for examining the truth in the “scolding”...maybe it’s just perceptions turning what is true/just & fair into a “scolding”

But the sqeaky wheel gets the wheel. It's annoying but in the office the most dumb people who talk a lot on their own behalf and who know how to to BS get ahead or at least get respect. Meanwhile the quiet ones are doing all the work and know much more b/c they're not busy talking all the time.
