Thanks very much! I’m glad to hear that my content has been helpful as well as entertaining! Lots more to come…hoping to be able to reach more viewers soon!
Johnny, I watch your videos religiously and I love them, there are so many other car touch-up videos, but at the end of your episodes, I feel very satisfied.
So nice of you that you’re sharing all these awesome videos for us Sir! Thank you and fingers crossed to see new ones as well as the “chop to the top” series 🤓🤙🏼
Absolutely loving this one.... i don't know a great deal about the workings of most cars but i do admire your passion and attention to detail and that you are saving them from the scrap and giving them a new lease of life! Bravo! Cannot wait to see this MG advertised for sale again!
Amazing the difference in the panels when you showed the clay barred side against the one that hadn't been done. Another great vlog Johnny, a great insight into clay barrring & what a polish & wax can do. Your hard graft really does make a difference. The headlights look so much better too. It's cheered me up watching this as i got soaked tonight changing a wheel after hitting a nasty unsighted pot hole. Look forward to rhe next 1. All the best 👍🏻
Youre brave dropping the bumper id be worried it wouldnt go back or go back and "sag" as you often see bumper sag on earlier rovers like the 800. Nice to see jake helping again!!
Johnny gets stuck in and we’ve all come along for the ride. Great tips as standard and the results speak for themselves. Can’t believe what a budget this car was and you’ll certainly make some good profit on it. Quality always sells. 👍
Nothing like a good clay bar to put a lovely smooth finish on paint. I don’t know why and it’s probably redundant but I use tar remover first before the clay bar. Easier on the clay I’ve found. Great video. That’s a very nice example of a forgotten car. Thanks.
What a difference to the outside of the MG , I'll defo have to have a go at the clay bar ( never done it before ) . You're doing a stunning job on the old motor 👌
Another banger, someone is gonna be very happy with that! Hope it goes to an enthusiast. Can’t wait for the new chop to the top as well! That has to be my favorite series of yours.
Really enjoys these vids Johnny - nice clear explanations. A question: how do you decide whether a car is worth the effort (and materials) assuming there’s no major defects. I have a 2011 Passat I need to change (ULEZ) and just stead of part ex-img in current Condition (mechanically fine and well serviced albeit 185k on clock- just lots of scuffs and paint correction needed) I’m wondering if it’s worth my time to increase it? Any tips for figuring this out??
@@andyherd5606 in a scenario like this where I’m looking to strip away any existing waxes on the surface of the car, I use a soap dilution as a lubricant. It works a treat!
No the bar can be rotated and r-used a few times, but its not advisable to use them for prolonged periods as contained dirt and contaminants can cause marring after a while👍
You must have some wicked contacts for all these $200 cars that just need a quick clean and polish to sell for $$$. In my country that would buy you a total rusted-out junker.

Thanks for watching! This one has been an absolute pleasure to work with so far!
Nice to see some care and attention given to the car.
Brilliant work on this one. For a £200 purchase that is one sweet looking restoration.
Thanks, this one will really be a beauty when it’s finished!

Cheers Ross, on lighter shades I also tend to use fallout remover too (see my mk1 Focus restoration) 👍

Thanks. Claying is certainly a bit labour intensive but very satisfying and a great help if trying to improve the look of your paintwork!

Thanks! I’ve just sold the latest chop to the top cars so you can expect an update episode soon!
It is getting better every episode 👍
Really great work as always Johnny. I wish more people could see value rather than price.
Thanks very much!

Splendid job!. Phenomenal.
Looking forward to seeing this one with the new MG badges and (hopefully???) new wheel centre caps ?
You’ll enjoy this coming Sunday’s video!
You can claybar the glass aswell if you want
you can notice a difference on camera with the bonnet
Well done cleaning behind the bumper. And the cleacoated headlights.
Would buy a car like this, serviced by someone with a bit of care and passion.
It’s all about the little details!
I never did clay bar on my car before but this looks great 👍 work
Thanks! You’ll be amazed how much junk is hiding in plain sight when you first clay your car!
Johnny you need to find a zt now
I’d love to get my hands on a ZT 260 with the Mustang V8!

That clay bar really works well.
It’s a great thing to do to old, contaminated paint!
Brilliant as ever Johnny. What are you using as clay bar lubricant?

@@JohnnyGetsCash thanks for the insight, I’m using a clay mitt on a car of similar age and hoping for results as good as yours!
Quick question, is the clay bar single use?
No the bar can be rotated and r-used a few times, but its not advisable to use them for prolonged periods as contained dirt and contaminants can cause marring after a while👍
What ‘lube’ do you use for the clay bar? 😁
😅
A cheaper but just as effective substitute for clay bars is glazier's putty.
Some also suggest plumbers putty but I’ve always favoured the firmer automotive specific clay!
You still not tried AutoSol metallic polish on head lights yet ? Ps cute dog
Great video Johnny get a celica GT 😉
Ed China would have left all the dirt on the slam panel and behind the headlights 😂
I watched an American detailer rub his old Merc plastic rear lights with 1000 grit and used acrylic clear coat and they looked better than brand new.
Quick & easy / gives a fantastic face-lift to any old car!
You have a patient of a saint 😇
It’s a pleasure bringing back old cars like this!

Can you fix my car please.Let me know. Thanks
Is this a Honda Civic from the beginning ?
This was a crossover project between Rover and Honda so you will see a lot of Civic MB6 in this car 👍
2nd not bad.
I’m here first whop whop😂
