I'm glad I get another one of these Anna Akana on podcasts. You guys seem really comfortable together which is great as it feels like two friends talking.
I totally agree with Anna saying Latin families are very socially integrated compared to Asian families. Where I live, I see a lot of Latin families not having much but see both of the parents and their children hanging out and bonding as a family. The Latin families are not as obsessed with family having to be perfect and expecting their children to become lawyers or doctors but just be their for their family.
Enjoyed learning more about Anna Akana, and my first watching Sean and he's a good interviewer. Very relaxed and connected nicely with her. Probably helped by some shared experiences. But great nevertheless.
getting a therapist is a waste of time and money. they dont do shit. they dont wanna talk anout your past so you can have a better future. they just say your gonna be very lonely. then you leave and are stuck with putting your problems on other people cause you have nobody to talk to
admire her for being so honest - they definitely seem to have great chemistry
