    THIS is what I was hoping to find - a well-documented raw video of the cruxes and downclimb of N. Maroon. Excellent editing, and excellent climbing! I am grateful for this beta - heading up there next month.

    “That’s the money. On the lefty.” The magical hold 😃 Well done everyone. Can’t say I’ve seen better footage of a climb Ninja. And there’s a lot of out there to watch... nothing taken from them but... The down climbing is a part viewers almost never get to experience. Especially on the bells! Respect!

      Thank you I really appreciate it, I had over 100 minutes of raw footage and wasn't easy condensing to a more watchable time, I definetly wanted to include the downclimb from N maroon because some have even died on it and there was not a single video on it.

    Sweet Man, I did not realize you had made a video of this one! I did it last week. Thank you some much for the info on the long selfie stick. It has been Awesome for me, especially in no drone zones. I am rendering a a new video right now on the Elk tooth in northern Indian peaks. Please see that summit part and you'll get some cool new ideas on how to get some sweet angles with that thing. Any time you want to do a climb, I'll hike way slower and climb way faster . . . .thanks again!

      yeah did it a few weeks ago, I will go check out your video of it... I have the next couple tuesday available for climbing. Will be doing quandary west ridge this Tuesday, but the one after I am game for anything.

      @KarlDeckerPresents 4 года назад +1

      The ninja on the mountains , I have been meaning to do the the west ridge but I’m out of town doing a collab with America’s Parks. He wants me to do some drone and 360 clips for him, Moab and 4x4 in san Juans. That next Tue we should for sure but do know, I’m not a runner , but a fast strong climber or in any technical type situation. Pick something at your climbing limit and I’ll be able to keep up and get some epic shots.

    Hey @The Ninja on the Mountains - Love the video. Incredible footage. I am definitely going to subscribe.
    I'm going to crank this out this weekend with a friend and we are try to gauge timing. If you started at 1am and reached Maroon by sunrise (630ish; 5.5 hours later), started your traverse at 7:30 (spent an hour on the summit?), traversed until 9am (1.5 hours later), that would only leave 30 minutes for the descent if your total time was 8.5 hours. If we ignore the hour-long summit time, that's still only 1.5 hours for the descent (8.5 - 5.5 for first peak - 1.5 for the traverse = 1.5 hour descent). Given how loose the rock is, I would expect a much slower descent. Any insight you can provide would be helpful. Thanks!

      @Theninjaonthemountains  4 года назад

      Thank you! I pretty much included most of the important parts. I guess best beta is that we went without reservations and were just fine, parked at overnight lot and had no problems, this seemed to be one of the cruxes and fears we had without a reservation. Most of the loose terrain parts are not too exposed which is a good thing worse case you will slide a few feet, the exposed areas or cruxes is mostly solid rock. Route finding can be tricky in some areas, make sure you have fotos from 14ers.com just in case and keep eye out for cairns. As long as you get good weather you will have no problems.

      @GregThrockmorton 4 года назад +1

      @@Theninjaonthemountains Thanks. Also, I rewatched it and saw you hit the first summit shortly before 6am, so I guess that means you descended in 2 hours. Still very fast! Again, really impressive footage and overall time!

      @@GregThrockmorton Thanks yes we ran from gully one all the way down to the Maroon lake pretty much, there is an area of loose boulders on the way down from N. Maroon that is a butt kicker they are not technical they just beat you up

    • @Theninjaonthemountains
      @Theninjaonthemountains  4 года назад +1

      supposedly you do, but we got there at 1 am with no reservation and drove to lot, there was plenty of spots so we drove back to entrance paid the fee and parked at the overnight lot, was worried the whole on the hike that I would get a ticket or towed, but luckly I got back and no problem
