    if you do it continuously fast enough that's it's invisible it's like there's an electromagnetic force field around you and no one can touch you

      Hey, I was thinking the same thing! At a certain speed, the rope becomes like the cloud of electrons around the nucleus of an atom. The laws of physics are different in such situations. For example, at any given instant in time, there is only a probability that the rope is in a certain position. Exact positions cannot be known! HOWEVER...there is one problem that I realized: as the rope approaches the speed of sound, the Mach effect will disrupt the laminar flow of the air around the rope--the very same air that the jumproper breathes. Aerodynamic inefficiences will demand exponentially increasing amounts of energy from the jumproper. Of course, this would not be an issue if jumping rope in a vacuum.

    • @herbertguo3498
      @herbertguo3498 3 года назад +1

      But you will encounter an unexpected problem:
      you are so fast that you are en-capsuled by the sphere that the rope forms which is so airtight that you will eventually have no enough oxygen to breath with!

    • @GregoryTheGr8ster
      @GregoryTheGr8ster 3 года назад +1

      @@herbertguo3498 Good point! If the jumper wants to reach this level of performance, a breathing aparatus, like SCUBA, will be necessary.

      We do not really work with heavier ropes, to be very honest, technically it is a very different training from what we need, and our classes are about.

    Hi Adrienn, I know you uploaded this video a long time ago so i don't know if you will read this comment but i have a question about the ropes. I've been looking at jump plus world website for some ropes, and i would like to know which is de difference between the "normal" cable rope and the long cable rope. Well, as the name sais, the difference is the cable's lenght, but is it a big difference or not?

    • @JumpplusWorld
      @JumpplusWorld 4 года назад +1

      Hi! Thanks for reaching out! The long cable ropes are used for Double Dutch speed, usually it is jump rope teams who get this one. It is a pair of long ropes.
      The single cable rope is used for solo skipping, and it comes with adjustable length. If you need any further assistance, let us know! Thanks

  • @D__Lee

    The plastic rope with long handles are my favorite, but the rope snaps off at the handle after only three weeks of use. The heat and friction of the free turning rope in handle makes the rope snap. Any one have any suggestions on how to keep the rope from snapping?

    • @djpickleballplayer
      @djpickleballplayer 6 лет назад

      D Lee How are you storing it and transporting i? If you are wrapping it so that the rope is bent coming out of the handles, that will probably increase the wear there. Really breaking fast 3 weeks use is very odd.
