    Jason, I really appreciate that you don't just say "here's a pretty chord progression...plink, plink, plink" and move on to the next one. You spend a lot of time playing with the chords, their variations, improvising and playing them over and over. It's the 10 minutes of time you spend doing this that I'm learning the chords and how to use them. I loved this video. Thanks.

    From all the positive feedback I believe we learned a lot from all the tutorials Jason has kindly shared with us. I studied music before and I still find the tutorials benefit me a lot. I do hope everyone will support his patreon page as it’s not much considering the contents we benefited from. As always thank you Jason for taking the time to create the videos and explain the methods in such a way that is short and precise. Very much appreciated.

    I have the pleasure of working with many Indians in my professional carrier and they told me one of the secrets of their success: "Jugaad" A very frugal way of innovation deeply embedded in Indian culture. Since I decided to get back to music after I paused for over 30 years I need plenty of Jugaad...and this is exactly what I feel with Jasons lessons: Less is more and there is instant progress with everything he teaches, extremely motivating! That being said I am excited to have found Jason and his Nathaniel School of music and hope they get the attention they deserve. Thank You

    Nice tutorial - both the singing and piano. My one suggestion is to reconsider the spelling of accidentals in the notation. E.g. at 0:23:, "Fmaj9#5/A" is really "A7(b13)", or something along those lines - much simpler! The problem stems from the spelling the D-flat , which would be better written as C-sharp (this is D minor after all). Sure, it's the same sound on the piano, but it's muddled theoretically. Functionally, this is a chord of A7 (V7 in D minor), so use a symbol on those lines.
    For those unsure of the relevance, it's like talking about a "miner quay", as if it's a platform for quarry workers.

    • @nathanielschool
      @nathanielschool  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! Nothing much we can do about the chord "realtime" spelling though. It's an app which does this for us. However, I've written important chords and their symbols in the notes which might help from time to time

    One after another great topics are poring in....it has become difficult for me to sync up with even with earlier upload videos.
    By syncing up ,I mean internalising each lesson to the extent that when I wouldnot need to think about too much ,while playing.
    Earlier uploads like waltz ie 3/4 ,arpeggio series are yet to be practiced thoroughly.
    So I would expect a video on how to do justice to these ever increasing video series
