Also, don't be confused by the letter "H" you see on the DAC screen in the video. It doesn't mean high-gain mode; it just shows that the output is set to headphones. Hope this clears things up!
As far as I know there is no option to completely turn the display off. But you can set the dimmer to 5 seconds and the screen will turn off after 5 seconds. Not a complete walkaround though, as changing the volume for example will wake the display up. But it still works for some scenarios.

High gain for focal? Not really needed. Better to use lower gain and turn volume knob higher yo get best snr ratio
