My biggest tip is honestly just to keep up with the course and start assignments early!! Everything that's taught is built up from the basics so falling behind would make it a lot harder to understand the later material. Plus assignments typically take more time than you'd expect lol. You got this!! I'm rooting for you :)
Good luck with your Java midterm! Tbh it's one of my least favorite language (my main language is C), but there's a lot of material online for it. You got this though! Just remember your public static void main(String args[]) and you're all set
