Wow. This reading was for me! I’m a death doula, and right now I’m taking care of a family member instead of a client. That Justice card for me is about advocacy. It’s my godmother, and I’m her POA because she never had kids. She’s in a nursing home and rather than feeling like a lot is made easier for us, there’s a LOT of need to listen and understand what is actually going on so that I can advocate for her with staff and nurses. Amazing. I came to see the deck, subbed when I realized it was a video from today (and why wasn’t I subbed to you far sooner…? 🤔🤷♀️), and nearly fell over when I realized what the reading was. Beautiful work as always, Marilyn, and thank you so much. I clearly needed to hear that! ❤️🙏🥰
Thank you very much for subscribing today, I appreciate that. I had a feeling that the topic would find a person it was relevant to. Advocacy is a great application for the Justice card in this context. Thank you for the compassionate work you do and I hope your dear God Mother transitions peacefully. ~ Marilyn
My goodness! Thank you so much Marilyn. This really was a beautiful video, really wonderful and important question to think about! What I always love about your videos, which was demonstrated here especially, is not only are you quite skilled and learned, but you're such an authentic and down-to-earth person. Overall I feel so blessed for this video, and it gave me a lot to think about. (My apologies for the next section being wordy.) Some comments on the reading you might find interesting too, or just to reflect on for its own sake: the Moon - you read it as burden since that makes so much sense intuitively from the image. End of life can really be an accumulation of a lot of the struggles throughout life. And that's perfectly reflected by the card you drew. But also (if we take the "standard" tarot reading system typically used) the Moon can be darkness, obscurity, uncertainty, mystery, etc. And if you think about it, not only for the person experiencing the end phase of their life but for the person trying to assist, it CAN be quite daunting and like "I want to help but I'm just not sure how". So I think even the cookie-cutter meaning of the Moon is fitting. And what I thought was: If I were going through that, it would be a consolation for people to acknowledge the uncertainties and concerns, even the darkness and mystery of it; and just giving voice to that would be validating. Justice - read as hearing them out, listening, being fair, making things right or helping tie up loose ends. Again, Justice can also mean deliberation and evaluation, which I thought connects it to the batons. After all, one main element of the batons suit is that activity you mentioned... endeavors, work, etc... so I think maybe having that level-headed demeanor (reflected by Justice herself) and, after having listened to their needs, the process of trying to be helpful to this person is a kind of deliberation. And Justice being related to "truth", being true to their intentions is also a great way to be helpful. Which kinda goes back to what I said about the Moon card, validating their feelings and experiences. thank you again, and I wish you the best
I was thinking I'll do a comparison video with the Rosenwald next. I thought I did one already, but I couldn't find it. Thank you for being here, I appreciate your support. ~ Marilyn

Oh wow, I didn't even realize there was such a thing as Super Thanks, or that you gave me one. I'm just now seeing that it wasn't just a regular comment. I apologize for my outrageous delay. I had no idea that this was even a thing until yesterday.
Hi Renee 👋 It's not a deck I would have probably thought to use for a demonstration reading so I'm glad a subscriber asked me to do it. It's a fun little deck, even though this question was a bit on the serious side.
Quick note about the 3 of Batons. Take this with a huge grain of salt because I really could be wrong here. At first I thought the word must be trio since that's the Italian word for "three [of something]"; but it almost looks like the word on the card is tribù or trivo... which is an old Italian word for 'tribe'. And that from the Latin word tribus, which originally meant "to set into three parts, threefold". So maybe that's why it's on the 3 of Batons, but I'm sure experts in the field and people who actually research tarot would have a better idea.
I figured that it might even have been Latin or some old Italian. It started with tri, so I got the idea. I love that it might mean tribe, that's awesome!
What a charming deck! The eyes, the the numbering, that knight of pents! 🖤 ❤️ 💛 💙.
Thank you for watching!~ Marilyn

Also- the Justice card is my birth card, which reminds me that when I advocate, I’m on purpose. ❤️🙏

I loved the question!
@reneehaskinsmisschiff4181 It was an important question to ask. I try not to ask too many trivial questions.
