He's struggling every so often due to salt on the roots (still working on it, hes been doing better with it and i think most of it is gone) and stuff but he's doing better here, he's even growing more recently :))

I have to admit that I agree with you wholeheartedly. The only good thing at Walmart is sometimes their vegetable seeds, and their pots and planters. They have the same stuff stocked in big box stores, like Home Depot and Lowe’s, for like a quarter of the price.
No way, it's the only box store that marks down their plants appropriately! I even scored a free anthurium from there once (it was potless and roots up in the sun with burnt leaves, but she's better now 😍❤🌱). Do love that boot pot!!
I got my amazing Pink Princess at Walmart. The plant thats viral for pink leaves and being rare..😂 its gorgrous, healthy, pink, and it was cheap and I was able to chose the best one they had! funny i love the boot idea too . i have a terra cotta boot with a snake plant!! i filled the bottom couple inches with rocks cause it was really deep..
You have to go in the garden section of a super Walmart if you want good quality plants. And you have to go during the season they have all those pots out. I’ve had some great Walmart. Plants that are still thriving.
If you get there when they do their first few loads in the beginning of spring like March/April they have INCREDIBLE plants for $3.96 that I haven’t seen anywhere else around here like purple velvets and moon valley friendship plants and other cool stuff. But that’s the only time of year I’ve seen good plants at Walmart

Their supplier was the problem but it ruined all my existing plants and it was really sad. I still don’t have any plants yet but hopefully soon I’m going to get some 💚
i made the mistake of not washing and quarantining a new plant ONCE and it literally killed everything. my aloe plants, african violets, yucca and my bamboo. spider plants melted into mush and my succulents all turned black and crusty:( and all i did was bring home a lil tiny baby monstera that i wanted in my bedroom. it took me so long to get rid of the bugs and they werent even the main issue. i still havent figured out what caused it ,i live alone so no one else can water my plants and all my pots have good drainage layers under the soil. they just mushed all at the same time
I digress, 😆 I went on Amazon and I have seen these. I just didn't put two n two together when I saw that one. Lol I still love it n I still just bought one. ☺️

I took the risk and bought a baltic blue pothos that looked like it hadn’t been watered in a month from Walmart- completely flat, a lot of leaves tattered, and most new leaves rotting away. I’ve been looking for one since they were released so I decided “pothos are pretty dang hardy, I’ll buy it and a water bottle and see what happens. Maybe I can propagate part of it if most of it dies.” I watered that sucker in the parking lot and gave it a shower when I got home. It took almost a full day to pop back up but it did it! I’m so proud of this little lad! I named him Murdock lol He doesn’t look the best, but I love him!
my grandfather bought my grandmother a spider plant from walmart. beefy, surprisingly green and bouncy, massive roots ,no brown spots. then my grandmother stuck it in a new, way-too-big pot with no drainage (was originally in a $50 dollar pot with 3 drainage holes. she smashed it because it "lets all the water out") and he just kept rotting away. literally spent 7 months as a mushy dying sad thing until i dug it out of the soil (which was more like a molasses chunk at the bottom) and let it sit in the air for a day or two. it was so waterlogged and rotted that most of the roots literally popped and exploded onto EVERYTHING. but now he made 2 babies in a month !!!! ive since named the mother-plant Harris, baby 1 Harrison, and baby 2 Hairiette.

I love this channel so unexplainably much but Walmart is iffy. Their terracotta pots are coated to look real. We accidentally broke one that was bought for crafts and weren't too happy with what we found. The inner pot was like a stone resin, basically plastic. That makes me wonder what they're passing off as safe for the plants... and us, tbh. I came across an article a year or two ago, don't ask me where, I honestly don't remember, but it was saying the plastics in dollar store items contained concerning toxins so be careful buying things that will support food, drinks and plants. I don't recommend any of their planters after having trouble with them myself. Dollar General plastic pots seem to work out just fine if you keep them clean but I've decided to pay nursery prices for terracotta and hope I'm getting the real deal.
