Bummer ear pods didn't work 😓. I'm sure under all those bikes and stuff is the real treasures 😁
What do you do with all the bikes?
As a service message, Dont put wet electronics into rice. if you can open them up as much as you can, do so and store them near a heat source for a few days to make sure they are dry, then clean off any oxidation you see with isopropyl alcohol, even without opening them up to air them, putting them near a good source of heat is the best chance you have before even attempting to turn them on, rice will do nothing. If those airpods were left near a source of heat they likely would have been fine before they were turned on. Additional note, if you ever submerge electronics in water, power them off before you remove them from the water, and then place them near a good source of heat for a few days before powering them on. They'll likely be fine.

Re AirPods: a) the case has to have enough charge to charge the pods. When you open the lid the light will flash. b) the pods will be orange when charging then turn green when fully charge
Maybe the case ran out of charge and that’s why the lights went off on the pods?

PS the Airpods need to be paired to a bluetooth device mate. Turn them on and look for available devices under your bluetooth icon in the settings panel :) peace out man and enjoy that life you live sir!

I love these videos and what you do, cleaning the canals and helping people find lost items, love those little crabs.. My partner was a field archaeologist from NZ, so was always hoping you would find old items, sadly he passed away suddenly just over two months ago, when I can't get out in my garden these videos help to distract me from my grief. I'm, puzzled why people lock their bikes but not to a pole, railings or something that can't be moved? Pob lwc o Gymru (Good luck from Wales)
So sorry for your loss Catherine. Glad I can help in some way :) In Amsterdam you can lock your bike to a police car and it will still get stolen..its crazy over here I've had my bike stolen so many times now.
Great find with the Airpods, I cannot imagine how sad the person must be who lost them. Next Sunday I'm going to cast my magnet in Utrecht again, wish me luck! 🤞🏽

It's like they are attracted to him. I've never been anywhere that had more bikes than Amsterdam. But why are so many in the canals since there must be bike shops and service on every block where repairs are cheap.

Nobody throws their own bicycle in the water because it needed repair.

Don’t fall for the old “making a sculpture out of coins”. He’s collecting those for his bank account😁.
For your cold hands put on some paper sacks, the kind you put in your kids lunch and put one on each hand flex your hand a little but don't break the sack, but you need a little room, your hands will stay warm all day and you can carry extras in case they get wet. We used them when we played in the snow. So warm and cozy.
Are you saying put paper lunch bags on your hands to keep warm? How does that work? There are warm waterproof gloves available nowadays.
Yes I know there are insulated gloves but they did not have a,y and I have never seen them wear them so thought the bags would help, we used them a lot growing up on our hands and feet and never got cold.

You put the lunch sacks with your feet or hands inside each bag, then on your feet with the bags on put on your socks to help .ash the bag down, then on your hands put the bag over 4 fingers leave,g the thumb exposed but enough of the bag for your thumb to lay against it, then put on your regular gloves. You will not have a lot of movement in your hands unless you flex them out a little bit before you put the bag on and then your gloves. I guarantee your hands and feet will stay warm as long as the bags stay fairly dry that is why I said to take a few of them so they can change them as often as they want to. You can also cook a whole 16 pound turkey in a paper bag. Just butter the inside and outside of the bag put the turkey in close the bag and bake at temp of what the directions are on the package. We did this growing up because if the had cooking bags at that time my mother never brought them go.e from the store. Good Luck

Haha, almost never. Usually there is a stone bar laid in the street so it is almost impossible to drive too far (unless you’re drunk or a tourist 😂😉)
