honestly, im a huge kingdom hearts fan.i started with chain of memories, then kh2 when it released and worked my way back then forward into the series pre-ordering ever game after kh 2. i loved the story and the creation of the heartless. But i would like to see the series conclude with our current characters, if square decided to make a spinoff just don't make it tie to the overall story do it 's own thing. i hope we will get the verum rex game before nomura retires
My answer might change in the future but I wouldn’t mind KH still going on post Nomura retirement. Part of me is curious how other creative directors at Square would tackle the series. Also the interview highlights new writers helping Nomura with kh4 so it’s possible they will be his successors.
If a successor can share the vision of emotions, and beautiful stories said in kingdom hearts, in a way that respects Nomura's masterpiece that we all love, then sure. If however, it is something clueless, different, and loses even a touch od the sentimental value it holds as a game series, then no. If they continue it it should be with utmost care, love and devotion, and whoever would be the successor to be, themselves, highly acquainted to Nomura's ideas, and the series themselves too. Kingdom hearts is way too important for many of us to turn into a case of changed producer f-ing it up. So either to finish which will be kinda sad but close as a masterpiece. Or continue but still as a masterpiece. There's no settlement other than that for a game so loved. It needs to be respected as it has been up to now. Deep yet simple and innocent. Kingdom hearts is for many of us a part of life.
Well considering KH4 is the start of a new saga, it's obviously not the last game. Bare minimum I think these are the upcoming games we can expect: 1. Kingdom Hearts IV 2. Verum Rex (Nomura was debating between doing this or KH4 first, so this is obviously in the pipeline) 3. Union Cross/Dark Road/Missing Link Remake (This has to happen as the games are just too important to not be on mainline consoles) 4. Kingdom Hearts V These are the ones I think are an absolute guarantee to happen.
Best case scenario is hoping he just means the mainline story about Sora and at this point Riku they have been the most main characters in almost all the games. But im hoping like desperately that they have spin offs or passing the torch to another character to continue the series.
I hope that after Kingdom Hearts 4 I make more new installments of the Kingdom Hearts sagas with or without Nomura I want Kingdom Hearts to continue living and make new stories, new beginnings like all Final Fantasy sagas, but I don't want Kingdom Hearts to come to a definitive end.
Kingdom hearts has so many amazing characters they could explore and Disney is always making new movies, I don’t see why kingdom hearts would have to end any time soon imo
Because every story has a beginning, a middle and an end. You can't keep pushing the story to continue if there is nothing else to add to the experience, even with new characters and Disney movies being added, Sora's journey will reach a point where there is no reason to keep pushing the experience. That may be the reason why each final fantasy is a different story with different characters. Só They can start anew with a blank slate. The only scenery I could see kingdom hearts continuing without Nomura for undefined time, is if they change the protagonist after Sora's journey comes to an end
my answer is this I love Kh,Kh2 is my favorite game of all time i adore this series and all of its characters and most of its concepts and i am fine with it continuing after Nomura retires but a don’t want the series to go indefinitely because if you don’t have a ending planned then your just shoot in the dark and eventually will fizzle out like Ben 10 for example great start but it kept going and going and going for so long till the point they had nowhere to go anymore and were retreading causing fans to loose interest i don’t want that for Kingdom hearts tbh everything needs an ending including our most cherished media like the old Dcau
I really can’t see Disney not taking over kingdom hearts at least the game and the manga they mostly do not care about kingdom hearts which leads me to believe they will mostly leave it alone when Nomura is gone
Kingdom Hearts will definitely not end. This will most likely be the last Testsuya directs, but we can all expect more sequels and spinoff to come out, in which of course I prefer, beacuse I freakin love the franchise, but it would be a huge loss for money if they ended it there, looking at it the consumer side. What people should not be worried about is if it ends, but what will be the aftermath of content look like when tetsuya leaves, will it still have the charm of the originals or will turn into Star Wars, which is a money hungry disaster. Hopefully we still get more games after the 4th game from other people of the square Enix team working on it.
My take Im okay if they still wanna make kingdom hearts after nomura retires But i want nomura to finish soras story before he retires Id be open to a kingdom hearts reebot with a new director and cast of characters Thats just my take tho
I suspect if KH ends, it t will just be the end of Sora’s story. Also, I don’t really see Nomura retiring…I know he said it but people go back and forth with that stuff all the time
about the ending, I dont think that's quite how the "transformative" bit of fair use works lol but I don't believe in following copyright laws anyway. that stuff looks cute
If they were printing it I'd agree but if it already exists as paper I don't see the difference between reselling a comic book or reselling a cut out page of it in resin. If they were gonna ban this I think they'd have to make it not legal to resell the comic book too at that point but these companies are all hypocrites with their enforcement of those laws.
@@perfidious333It really depends. I think it’s difficult to support your company off one console side in general unless that console is willing to throw significant money at you to pad the sales.
The only way for Kingdom Hearts to continue imo is to have a new protagonist. Maybe go with the Verum Rex route. Instead of Disney worlds, go with videogame worlds.

Yes ending confusing series could be tall task and Disney will not let go.

The story goes, Nomura does not like it when people make fun of his height, I heard he poked someone's eye out because, and ate it once.

Kingdom hearts will never end as long as it keeps making money just like Dragon Ball
No soriku shippers
With how weird Square Enix is anymore, it's absolutely for the best.
Square maybe but not Nomura
Why does everyone hate SE now?
@@geypanis sales data suggests everyone has "hated" SE for a while, hence their updated multi console strategy.
