    I don’t know how he made the leave look so delicate in the thumbnail.

      It's not only on the thumbnail. It looks delicate in real life too.

    I'm glad to see you back, Tim! Thanks a lot for featuring my person in the video. That's an honour for me I don' deserve! I also love the natural shape of those leaves. It's way different method of forging leaves that I've seen on RUclips and I really enjoyed it. I need to try this for sure. As always, thanks a lot for sharing your skills! Stay safe, mate!

      Hey, your work is really nice and I am sharing others too so we can all know each other. Actually there was someone who is familiar with your work. I hope to keep up with videos and grow the channel faster and maybe do it fill time (besides classes and my web store). I just got monitized so it is headed to the "right" direction. What were you up to lately? Have any work that you're willing to share? I can put it on my website.

    • @SuperiorEtchworx
      @SuperiorEtchworx 4 года назад +1

      @@DesertOwlForgeThe way Brian Brazeal and Alec Steele do it. It gives a sharper transition and as short, wide leaf. It doesn't have bevelled sides either

      @DesertOwlForge  4 года назад

      @@SuperiorEtchworx there are many ways and designs this one is just one and in my opinion is the simplest. I'll probably make other videos showing different leave designs in the future.

      @@DesertOwlForge I'll keep watching for them. I like the simplicity of these and there is no reason that veins couldn't be added if the project called for them

    Dear Tim, thanks for this very useful video. Was that a Woodpecker at the end or perhaps a Road-Runner ?

      Roadrunner. It was calling its mate and looking for lizards. It went down the side of the mine shaft and wasn't scared at all.

    I'm a new smith, I'm I supposed to tap the anvil at regular intervals? Also I followed your instructions to the letter, or at least somewhat to the letter and it came out reassembling the center radiator core of a late model Asian four door sedan that was involved in a head on collision. It's all twisted and without any shape or form. Is it because I'm not taping the anvil at regular intervals or is it he quality of your instructional video? Or is it a combination of both?

    • @DesertOwlForge
      @DesertOwlForge  3 года назад

      It neither. It is your lack of skills and respect, or perhaps you just don't have it in you. Don't expect your first try to come out like mine. I am doing this for a long time. Also, taping on the anvil is to keep the momentum of the hammer going, so you don't have to get it moving again while you're adjusting your grip or the piece.
