The best thing you can do is decide on the main catagory you want to work on. the best beginner one I recommend is the friendship category after you get some decent units you can work on MR dark flame lover he's a great charm unit and you can pair him up with MR yuta since he has the love passive which makes him guaranteed crit whenever he hits a charmed enemy. this game usually gives a bunch of puzzles through codes and extra quests so it's not really hard to get puzzles in this game you can get most units if you really dedicate your time or even play casually since it's not hard to progess if you have one specific goal
Death twin guns is a good unit, she has low attack speed, high damage, however you need candies to summon her and she is only available during halloween event
if you want some crti units with easy evos for metal rush and the idol concert get Wami and Cat spirit. they both have easy evos and do pretty okay damage
