    Is there a way to turn off the battery on this unit ? I find that I have to charge it on the regular even when not in use

    What’s with the built in battery? Can it be replaced when it is damaged? (Most likely after about 300 cycles like the most rechargeable batteries)

      Lol 300 cycles is the rating for a lithium ion cell before it hits 80% capacity. It doesnt just stop working

    when you say video are for illustration purposes only does this mean this particular model do not video as shown and are not from the tk

      that just means the higher fps video is recorded on a better thermal imager, the lower fps is all on the tk

    I was excited about this initially considering I could get one of these by next spring. But the more I look at your different options I'm just going to save a bit longer and get a Scout III 240. I'm guessing there is a noticeable difference between the Scout TK and the Scout III 240?

      It's actually 240x180 for the scout iii 240. At least that is what it says on your website. But I meant is the image significantly better and sharper than the TK when looking through it? Thanks for the quick response!

      +blkcpdconure correct! Sorry about that! The image is going to be a bit sharper because of the resolution as well as because of the core. The Scout TK uses our Lepton sensor, while all the Scout III's use our higher resolution Tau core. Check out our Scout III Playlist here on RUclips, while most is from the 640, it'll give you an idea of the jump in sensitivity between the cores. I'll talk to the team to see if we have any sample footage specifically from the 240.

      Cool! I have been watching some videos of older scout 240's and the images are impressive but most of the videos are of the 320.

      you can use a micro usb cable to connect to a PC or Mac to download the photos and videos off the Scout TK just like a typical camera.

    I'm looking into getting a scout tk and I'm wondering if it's refresh rate is higher when you're simply using it as a monocular instead of recording video

    • @Flir
      @Flir  8 лет назад +1

      +A Buzzed Whaler great question! The sensor in the Scout TK is locked in at 9Hz. If you are looking for higher refresh rate, definitely consider the Scout II and Scout III.

      +A Buzzed Whaler the Scout TK's frame rate is 9Hz regardless of live view or recorded file.
