@@BrisbaneBirds Thank you for that and I pretty much figured as much. I was just wondering if I had a Gouldian, Owl and Zebra (just an example) if they would cross breed (I don't want any mut hybrids - just purebreeds). Also, do you sale/ship to the USA?
Depends on the species of finches each different types of waxbills will interbreed as will different types of parrot finches, but species like zebra finches wouldn't interbreed with gouldians
We only breed Hahns Macaws and Gouldians Finches at the moment... General tips on breeding birds would be to make sure you get their diet right which usually means lots of fresh vegetables and fruit combines with a formulated pellet.. but every species is different
If you're a member of the QFS why not raise this issue with them at one of their meetings? Also theres many other bird sales around Queensland where you will find finches for sale in fact I think there is the beadesert one coming up in a week or two

If kept in a community aviary will finches interbreed with one another or will they remain true to their species type?
Depends on the species for example red faced parrot finches will cross breed with blue faced parrot finches readily
