I was so relieved to hear that this show is at least popular enough to make it top 5 or 6 every week on apple tv+, i get so worried since musicals feel like such a niche interest sometimes
So amazing! I love how all the different musical movements just blend together so wonderfully! Jane is phenomenal! EMMY NOW!!!!! Please do season 1 breakdowns!!!
I *screamed* seeing Jane on roller skates. That entire number was genius on every level. It’s wonderful seeing how much everyone involved loves this show. It reminds me of listening to The Good Place podcast - the people behind the scenes are fans as much as we are, and that really comes through when you watch the show. Thank you Marc, for giving us all such a fabulous place to nerd out over musical theatre. I watch all the RUclipsr analyses of this show, and yours is definitely my favourite, so it’s incredible that you get all of them involved. And the chats during your livestreams and premieres (when I’m awake for them, living on America’s west coast but existing in australia time 😅) are full of genuinely hilarious, obviously talented, and heartwarmingly devoted people. (And who doesn’t like having their name and comments mentioned during a stream?) 🥰 Thanks again, keep up the schmantastic work!
I've just finished the show and found this amazing series of videos. Thanks Marc for creating this and for being an amazing interviewer. And thanks Christopher for sharing a bit of your creative process and all that behind the scenes trivia. As Marc said, the love for the work and the art is palpable on the final product. Love from Brazil!
Thank you for posting these! I love hearing Chris's insights and behind the scenes secrets. plus all the special clips. Bells & Whistles was INCREDIBLE and YES, they need an Emmy stat. I hope you get to do a season one series, too!
Delightful! I assumed Jane Krakowski's entrance on the trapeze was a hat tip to her entrance in her Tony-winning performance in the musical Nine, in which she slithered down a white piece of cloth from the top of the proscenium (and at the end was hoisted back up).
Another awesome choreo breakdown! The work that went into the Bells & Whistles number makes me even more awestruck by it! And so excited to hear about revisiting the choreo for Season 1!
Watching these breakdowns has been insanely fun! If they had done the parachute choreography, that could have been a callback to Two Ladies from the movie of Cabaret! I just love the layers of references. I live for those kind of Easter eggs. Thank you Marc, and thank you so much, Chris!
Thank you so much Marc & Chris for talking to us about this and bringing the pre-vis and extras. This was as interesting as usual and once again, your work Marc is really appreciated! Take care
This is AMAZING. Thank you so much for bringing these breakdowns! I am living for them! Chris is so knowledgeable, and it is so incredible to see and hear his amazing insight and thought that went into all the numbers! I woud love to see anyone from the cast, but it would be so interesting to hear you speak to Dove and or Aaron!
This channel really enhances my enjoyment of the series. Learning about the trapeze was the highlight for me (until the Silence easter egg at the end)!
Oh man ANY interview with any cast member would be amazing. Can Jaime Camil come back for an interview? Aaron Tveit or Dove Cameron would be amazing. Cecily❤ I cant think how youd get in touch but i felt that way about talking to Chris!
Silence the Musical was delicious! I saw it at Theater 80 a dozen years ago. I didn't remember that Christopher Gattelli directed it, although I did recognize the call back to the hooves.

JANE DID IT ALL! That woman was like a kid in the candy store and worked so hard. Thank you for this breakdown episode!
"There's a trapeze class nearby..." Well, holy shit. That is both insane and endlessly impressive.

Please do season 1 breakdowns!!!

These interviews are so fantastic! I would love a similar series (or even just one interview) with Cinco about the songs.

So glad you were able to fully break down the Bells and Whistles number. I want more!!
I'd love to see you interview Alan Cumming about this....but I realize that's a lot to ask! Thanks so much for your Schmigadoon content.

You ask great questions
Why are we still maybe-ing the season 1 breakdown series?? He said he'd love to do it! He can surely move his entire schedule around for this lolol jk
I was really excited for this episode and I can’t wait for the final episode even though I’m sad it’s ending
Thank you SO MUCH for this!

You mean bc the guy has shown pics of him and Aaron back in their youth?

Unfortunately, the nondancers kindof stood out in such a challenging dance number....sorry. Took me out a bit.
