- I found this video from back in the spring and realized I don’t think I ever actually shared it.
It’s way too cute to miss out on and a perfect summary of Rudniks personality 😂

Who else was waiting to see if he went and tied himself back up?
Was going to say the same ❤❤😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
WOW! Unhooks himself & then looks around to see if anyone is watching😁👍
That’s how they do it. They do one thing and then they take their time with the next step. My horse figured out one day how to use his face to undo the chain on the gate that leads to the hay - but he DIDN’T GO IN even though he’s raided that years ago when I had left a different gate open by accident. He wanted to wait a day before he made the next move. I put a clip on the chain that’s too small for his lips and it’s remained in place for 2 months now. We’ll see who makes the next move😂
Yes. They are clever when it comes to food. One gelding I had would untie any knot. He just kept working at a knot until he got it undone.
"Silly Hooman . . . (/munch /crunch /crunch)
He earned those by being so smart😅❤
"What is this word "wait" you keep using?!"
Priceless. He’s so nonchalant about it too. Looks around. Doesn’t get too excited. Walks over. Carrots gone.
🧠 😂 this was a smart move for sure, just casually untied himself and ate the carrots 🥕
once a horse knows you know how they are, they will become buddys with you, they even have a sense of humor
We both knew what he'd do, didn't we? ❤
Animals are way smarter than what many people think, and what I'm talking about is problem-solving intelligence. My horse and the neighbor's daughter's Welsh pony share the same pasture and paddock, they gang up to try opening the saddle room door, they know pretty well that the food supplements and apples are stored there.
Means, motive, and opportunity.
But he's such a sweetheart about it, i can't be mad 😂💖
"You said one minute---it's been one minute & you still not returned, I take matters into my own hands...er, lips, my own lips!"
You said "nice try," but it wasn't just a try. It was success! I knew he'd untie himself, but it was still fun to watch.
Love me some naughty animals! The smart ones are always the most amusing...lol!😂 ❤
If you look at the timestamp, he actually *did* wait a minute. Now _that's_ smart!
Your baby made me just Laugh Out Loud. What a treat he must be for you!
One smart cookie for sure 😊❗
Too smart for his own good!❤😂
Like I was really going to make him wait for his treats. LOL
You did say wait a minute, so he did, then looked around for you. Untitled the rope, looked around again. Then got the treat. Hi ho silver used to do that to save the Lone Ranger.
horse noses are the best noses
Horses are much smarter than most people realize. My wife had a horse that learned how to open her stall door, forcing a modification to be made so she couldn’t open it.
When it comes to tasty treats, time is of the essence! Lol 🤣
Perfect horse…knows how to feed himself 🎉😂. Beautiful as well!
I have seen a video where a horse escaped his stall then went down the aisle freeing only his buddies. So cute!
Sure, Mom! I know exactly how to deal with this situation. 😂
Saw that coming from a mile away 😹😹😸
I never realized what a sense of humor and cleverness horses possess! Love it!💖
😂😂 It was just too tempting, mom.
He’s too smart! Love that horse❤
How lovely, thanks for the post. 🐶🐶🤗
Smart and cute !
Cheeky bugger that was so funny😅😂😅😅😂
😂 How funny!
😂😂. He’s smart
he's adorable!
Horses are very observant and intelligent watch and then he uses the knowledge to get to his treats rudnik is the Merlin of the horse world totally magic! Love it
Those sweet carrots were calling his name and he simply couldn’t wait.
He didn’t try he accomplished!!! 😂😂
I own a Bay Roan since he was a weanling. He five now and has such a goofy personality. He steals everything. If I’m working in the corral fixing what ever he steals my hammer or drill or level. Steals my gloves from my pocket. Walks away with the stuff with that “COME AND GET IT “ attitude. You just got to love him ❤❤
Counted to 60 in his head...
"Well, that's a Minute and She's still not back..."
...yea..we all knew that he'd do that..how ever I thought he was gonna pull on the long end..smiles.. oh, I'm sure he gets lots of sweet carrots, but give him one for me..
It doesn't surprise me when I was a kid we had a horse that could do the same thing. This video brought back fond memories of my childhood horse named Romeo. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
Lmao 🤣🤣 get it my son!! Get it!!
Yup, I thought he'd go for the knot. Lol. He's a character and a half! 😂🤣

Horse: Oh, yeah?
Smart horsey!
What a smart boy!
Aww. You knew we wouldn’t stop him! 😅
His intellect and demeanor reminds me of Highland Dale who portrayed Fury and WarWinds
See we are not the only animals with skill sets.
NOW WHO IS A CLEVER 🐎 HORSE.❤❤
He was doing just what I told him to do. I told him to untie his rope and eat his treats and he did. He listened. Don’t beat up. Don’t be mad at him. He’s a good boy he did what I told him to do.
Clearly, Rudnik takes after Mom: Understood the Assignment🐴🥕💯‼️😁 deb in RudniksBrainPower, SC🐎 07/05/2024❤
#RudniksPowerTreats# 🥕
😂👍😂👍😂👍❤❤❤❤
I like the way he scans to see if anyone is watching....
Once knew a horse that could do this. Had to change how the knot was tied to stop him. 😅
that's hysterical
Too smart. 🤗❤️
After getting his treats, he went on to finish her taxes, and file them online. He got her a bigger refund than those tax services ever did!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aww, brawn & brains!
That is one smart horse
A horse is a horse of course.
Whomever took the time to train that horse is an AWESOME Trainer!
I've been around some smart horses, not that smart!
That horse is not only smart, it has a little comedy in him as well!
GREAT looking horse by the way!
I’ve done most of his training myself🥰
@@rudniktheroan - Job well done!
I have fallen in love with your Rudnik. I had a bad experience as a child with an animal being tied up, so I wasn't going to watch, but thought...I know nothing bad is going to happen and I knew he figured it out before you even left. He just had to decide to behave or go along with your little "prank".
Gotta up your tethering technique 🤣👍💖
Love it ❤❤❤
LMFAO 😂 right on
😅😅😅 He said "it wasnt me "
Good boy!
Him and my husky would get on
I do believe it was more than a minute before he untied himself...you did say a minute.
The boy wants what the boy wants…
😂 smart horse
My grandfather forgot to give the horse his carrot one morning and the horse kicked in the knee😂
Horse is like “bet you won’t do that again, eh?” 🥲
❤❤
So smart
He and my Mr. Jasper have been comparing notes.
My son had a pony that would untie himself every time that we went on trail rides. We would tie horses while we would stop for lunch. He would always manage to get himself untied , go find my son. Once he did this, he approached my son from behind. Stephen was eating his lunch and talking in a group of people. He would take a bite of his sandwich, then hold it up beside his shoulder due to someone had a pooch that had wondered into the group. Well, Manche, the pony, stood there and helped my son eat his lunch without my son realizing what was going on.😂 At the camp, he would be tied on a picket line with the rest of the horses, he would get himself untied and then wonder through everyone's camp scavenging for food. He would eat chips, cookies, Hotdog buns, and any drink in a plastic bottle he would manage to get those opened drink them. 😂 Of course I finally had to start stalling him in the horse trailer (stock trailer) to keep him out of trouble when on trail rides.
Ahahaha oh I love that. What an amazing personality on that boy! Thank you so much for sharing 🥰🥹
🐎 🐴 smart
If we didn't know it was a trick he was taught it would be kind of cute.
I didn’t teach him this. He taught himself either way it’s still cute
@@rudniktheroan
Okay.
😂😂😂👍
Cheeky! ❤❤❤❤
She knew he would do this. He probably does it very predictably.
He’s untied himself before but I really had no idea he’d do it then 😂 I just thought he’d sit there and stare at them, telepathically telling them to get into his mouth 😂
😂😅😊
😂
he waited a minute like you asked
😁
Good boy…no waiting
Unfortunately, this can happen when you reward with treats. His mind is too focused on them. Just mention to him " not yet" & picture in your mind, your intention when you step away, he WILL acknowledge.
I also think B needs to start a "rescue training" with him. He's just that smart. Noticed this when he playingly fell down and the reaction (concern) Rudnik had. Trails can be tricky, and it could be handy one day.
Never any criticism here because we all need to innerstand our relationships with our partners. 🥰
fanatstic guy
lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
🙋♀️💖😄👌🐎crafty
I was telling him not to, at my screen, its naughty, but i don't think he listened to me 🤔
He does his own thing 🥲
If he tied himself back on the post, showing he couldn’t of taken it
1:34 - There is “A RESON” horses are considered one of the”THE SMARTEST” animals in the world……
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Guess she never studied knot tying in Girl Scouts.
No, I studied basic horse care - you never tie a horse with a knot. You always want a quick release otherwise you or your horse (or both) could end up seriously hurt if anything ever happened and you can’t get them untied with a single pull
Totally understand. He had to get the taste of rope out of mouth
What was the purpose of putting them in plain sight & making him wait?
Teaching patience and having fun. He knows it’s a game. Same as giving a dog a treat hidden inside a toy they need to figure out
Not a set up at all, eh? 😂
I had no idea he was going to untie himself - it’s something he’s taught himself to do. It was a game people were playing with their pets a while back. But even if it was set up, and I did teach him that - I’d say it’s still impressive.
