This is very similar to Columbo's never spoken first name in the detective series Columbo. In one episode he quickly holds his license up to the camera. When DVDs came out, you could pause it and make out a blurry "Frank". I'm pretty sure this was the episode filmed in London.

I quite liked that Penny didn’t have a last name and Penny ‘Teller’ sounds too contrived. I my mind she still has no last name. There are some things “You don’t need to know”. 😔

FYI Sheldon, anyone who can tip a cow over while drunk doesn't ace the name at all. A friend I know who was a huge fan of Penny's, I asked him what name would be perfect for Penny and he said Lover. Not because of Lionel's song Penny Lover, but because he was a collected of Lionel trains.
On one episode Penny is holding a box (UPS) on her countertop. You can see her name if you stop the film and it's pointing right at you. The box address and name, Penny Teller is on it.
