- Day 2 Solo camping on an uninhabited tropical island, with heavy rain, lightning and thunder. Relaxing, hearing the rain hit the tent through the night and watching the lightning show light up the sky. This trip ends with a delicious catch and cook meal cooked over an open fire. Good Times.

Yes the islands start after about 9hours driving from my house, but I go up as far as Bowen so far. Once the sailboat is up there I hope to go to lots more👌

The underwater sounds really help me fall asleep. I don't mean that in a bad way. I suffer from insomnia and it helped me get a much needed power nap. Best few minutes of sleep I've had in weeks. There's just something about the crackling sounds and the beautiful underwater scenery. Takes me to another world. Thanks for these videos Rod, from Los Angeles.
Oh man! I am right here with you on this one. I tend to watch his videos in segments instead of all at once because they help me relax and sleep. Sometimes It takes me two days just to get through one episode simply because I want to savor the ambience and the spiritual calm it brings me.

Maybe create and link a page full of affiliate links (amazon or something) for all the gear you use. Tent, stakes, box, whatever. People will try to imitate. They'll be thankful for guidance and you might earn yourself a new camera over time.

Took a mates Lad out fishing, he'd been at it for days (no luck), but you know, grandpas secrets. caught us bunch o Herring, Bream n a Flattie (and a beefcake leatherjacket, but we had a full bucket, he got his freedom). his little bro though fish tasted like fish. Lat pondered the taste quite a while when I asked the difference. he did give a few differences, quite accurate. but finished with "shit tho, its all good". given I know his old man isnt keen on cusses, though id caused a fire. he copped a "good lad" shoulder clap.
sure, go out n buy a prize fish. but go out and catch just a bread n butter fish, n get it in the pan ASAP. it'll blow your socks off. there is something amazing bout anything that still has a kick to it.

I caught a 90cm gold spot cod who thought he was a spanish mack trolling around that rocky outcrop in January with 30cm stick baits. Great to see the place we camped just a couple months ago. Someone must've burned the wood picnic table at that site Rod?

It’s not a good idea to cook things over the BBQ if your burning wood that been treated to be outside because they have usually been pressure treated with chemicals to stop them from rotting. Hope the wee man is okay
