So enjoy your videos, Jim. In fact, during the past several months of persevering through the pandemic, I have dug into the videos you've produced in the past. (He has a ton of them in his RUclips library folks!) Keep the blue side up and the brown side down, Jim!
Loved the video. In the late 1970's I was flying out of Schaumburg in my Comanche. Working on my instrument rating and we used to shoot ILS approaches into Midway a lot on Sunday AM. I seriously doubt I could do that today. Got my ticket, flew 12 hours more and sold the plane. I realized I did not have the time or money to stay safe. I'll leave it to the experts like you guys. Today, I'm soon to be 81, right now I'm cancer free, and loving the videos. Best regards, Dennis Miller Anthem, AZ
@captmoonbeam I especially appreciate this video being a native Chicagoan. I haven't been back there for years but I used to go in and out of there flying for a virtual airline. It's an exciting little airport! I remember a video from 15 years ago or so of a crew in a 737 performing the App 31C Circle 22L Lndg. You could hear the tension in the pilots voice as he said, "Boy that's a short rwy!" No sweat though. They made the last turn off................Keep up the good work!
I can see my building at the 8:46 mark. Pretty cool. I used to sometimes fly the approach for Midway if they weren’t too busy when I was working on my ppl. That was back when ATA was still flying 757s there.
Love the cameras. Far less flicker on the displays, but the sky colors-Wow!! The approach and landing was tremendous to watch. With that headwind you could almost have parked in the sky!
Loved this video. Two skilled pilots earning their money with a super smooth ending. The longer sequence was a fascinating watch. More please, Captain!
straightforward routing to MDW, but all those details! And the monotonic rapid fire speech of the controller! nice landing, btw. 43 kts on the nose. Wow!
Great video Jim. It was a little bumpy for sure. Sounded like atc at Mid Way was busy. I want to thank you for the time and effort you put into making and editing these videos for us to watch and enjoy. Hope the wife and family are doing well. Have a great week!
..good morning Capt..thanks as always for sharing again ...all these beautiful painted skies.. somehow still sitting here looking for that long-awaited Zombie Attack scene...but please keep em coming...
Fun stuff Captian!! Thank You for the well done no -indulgent video (many i can’t make it through just due to the bombardment of poor music/self promotion). Always nourishing snd informative to watch experienced Pro’s do their thing. I started flying 2 years ago and have 850hrs in my Mooney. Just purchased a T210 that I am picking up next month. You have a new fan 👍🙏✈️
Jim, it dos not matter that this video was filmed a year and a half ago. Your VLOGs are always professional and enjoyable. I am so glad that I subscribed several years ago. From a fellow St. Louisan, take care - be safe!
If ever I'm having a hectic day or time in my life all I have to do is take a flight with Capt Jim and all is good with the world again. Heck maybe some day I'll get a chance to take a real flight with my favorite flt crew. Fly safe you two. 😁👍
G,day Captain Moonbeam from Sydney, Australia. * I was shocked at the many and constant control inputs show by the yokes on autopilot descending into Chicago airport. 🌏🇭🇲
Nailed the landing Jim! Observation but why does Mike not use the touch screen to key in the frequencies on the GTN rather using the dial or indeed selecting the frequency from the aerodrome->frequencies page so it goes in standby?
No more challenger videos. That one is gone and we now have a Sovereign that I flew for the first time this weekend. Hope to be making a few videos on it soon.
@@captmoonbeam *WHAT'S GOING ON HERE??? THESE ARE 2 DIFFERENT AIRPLANES IN THIS VIDEO!!!* (unless there is something super bizarre happening with the cameras!) 8:39 8:47
Hey Captain, you should make more videos where you sit in front of the camera and talk about different topics. would be a nice change of pace and I think a lot of us can learn some things from you! Im a Regional FO and love your vids!
Thanks Cap'n. Keep em coming. Always enjoy your content! Whatever happened to the younger F.O. that you flew with a few times? Where did his career progress to?
Mike is the essence of Bob Ross if Bob Ross flew jets instead of painted happy little trees. So soothing. Outstanding. :)
The cool dad we wish we had

Love the view of Chicago inbound to Midway, that and the VIP parking at the FBO! Cheers 🥂N9U
I'm glad you posted this. Great job on the landing too!
To quote Mike..."all right well done." Both the landing and the video were "well done". Thanks.
Funny comment on the anti ice switches. Same things happens when one turns the seat belt sign off. That’s usually when the turbulence starts!
Great flight and that landing !!! Awesome Jim.
good 2 see u flying keep it up the videos up............
They really gave you the red carpet treatment. I usually get parked out in the back 40 over there! Great job on the challenging landing!
Thanks as always Jim. Great Video. I guess the "Windy City" really lived up to it's name that day!
Don't mind a older video...you two are wonderful to watch while working together.

Greets Captain. Best Wishes/Regards!
Oh, I miss that. ❤️
Learned to fly at Midway in 1982, nice to see it on your video! Always a disappointment to look where Meigs used to be though.

Looking forward to this. Thanks as always for the video's Capt.

That's a pretty ride on a breezy day. Your skills were showing.

I got the coffee brewing already; I like it nice and strong.
Thank YOU Jim. Always a pleasure. Thanks to Mike too for putting up with 'us'!

You've been making them for years and your video's still give me that feeling sir. Love your work, thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mike, well done. All the best, thanks.
Well done.
Appreciate your common sense, down to earth nature and decency Jim.
Nice landing in such windy conditions!
Cloud surfing. Pretty amazing. A lovely way to fly. Sweet landing.

I missed this live but it was still great to be able to watch it now. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Nice landing! I fly from Peoria to Lewis quite a bit...Midway is expensive!
Thanks for sharing!
Your videos are great. Love to see the videos of Spirit. I flew out of there in the 60s when it was brand new.
Lots of work, coming down final. As usual, great job., Many thanks.
Love your videos. Always appreciated well done! Thanks, Marty

Great video Jim! Busy airspace around Chicago.
Another great video.
Good morning Jim 🙋♂️😊
Love it, great action Cap. my kind of clip, keep them coming, thanks!
Fantastic approach and great landing sir!
Nice job!
Miss your video's Captmoonbeam.
Jim, have you come down to Springfield much while flying your clients around?......love your show!........Howdy from Branson Missouri !
Very nice landing! You make it look easy, but I don't think it is. Would trust you completely and Mike as well.
I've just found your channel, great video thanks
Definitely some pucker factor, but excellent job.
Lol I chuckled at your two rooms correction.
This crew is so pro. Love it. I’m just waiting for Fly with Garrett to tell us how he would have done it better
Nailed the landing Jim! Observation but why does Mike not use the touch screen to key in the frequencies on the GTN rather using the dial or indeed selecting the frequency from the aerodrome->frequencies page so it goes in standby?
Brilliant skills. This is why I'm happy to buy you a "coffee" every month via patreon.
9:51 LOL, who let the guy who used to be in the FedEx commercials into the tower?
I love these videos!
Are we going to get another video on N5L soon? Saw that plane at PDK recently and would love to see more.
No more challenger videos. That one is gone and we now have a Sovereign that I flew for the first time this weekend. Hope to be making a few videos on it soon.

Looks like you had to work for that landing!
I thought it was an excellent landing!
Great vid!

They are nothing like an airport in middle of a city. I was watching another pilot and he said that Midway ramp fees are way to high.
That’s what happens when you land in the middle of a large city with multiple fees.
That was nice back in October 2019. That was very really nice.:
No direct to PLESS today! Ah man...
Thanks Cap'n. Keep em coming. Always enjoy your content!
Whatever happened to the younger F.O. that you flew with a few times? Where did his career progress to?
Do you guys ever fly into Atlantic Nashville?
Captain, which airports do you Not enjoy flying into? I’m assuming the real busy ones. Anyone in particular?
Been quite a while since I've seen you.😊
Do you need to use glide slope in these "manual" landings? Nice vid as always.
Does anyone know why Captain Moonbeam hasn't been uploading videos for the last 12 months?
My first thought with that intro....was about Mike.
2 rooms✌️😳
Good thing it wasn’t a 43kt crosswind
Atlantic?
Yes.
I worked there for 10 years at Atlantic MDW. I hope you had a great experience. The line guys are pretty good there.
So, is mike ok with one room for both of you, please enlighten me!😁😆🤣👀
How do you get a call sign “JetSpeed 7”???
I think is EJM/Executive Jet Management.
