    Love how you did the gold armor. Especially the chest piece and shield. Very shiny and very impressive. It came out very well and the lighting that you have really brings out the details

    Wonderfully done again. This is the color scheme I will use for my stormcast once I get them assembled and ready. Thank you.

    This gold is super shiny, it's really fitting for the Hammers of Sigmar.

      Right? I figure they should be bold in their colours like this.

    With the gloss shades going away what do you recommend using?

  • @TesGon
    @TesGon 2 года назад +1

    As for someone who just started doing this...this was WAY more complicated than I expected it to be. Also my paint collection is nothing near this amount of paints used in this video. But I liked it anyway.

      He could've stopped the video at 17:00 and still had an awesome mini! Vids like these showcase the best results possible, not what's reasonable lol. Don't get discouraged

    You are such a great help, thank you man! One question: why don’t you Prime in retributor armor?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  2 года назад

      Glad to have been of service Mr Kiso! I prefer not to prime with metallics so I can get a nice smooth coat for the non-metallic areas rather than painting the relevant Base paint over the gold, though you certainly could go the gold prime route!

    Hello and thx for yours greats tuto, i start stormcast army and i don't know if i go for hammer of sigmar or celestian, what you think the most beautiful? the esaier to paint? Thx alot for your answer

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  Год назад +1

      I think Hammers of Sigmar are probably easier than the Celestial Vindicators. I love them both equally though so it's tough to choose!

    Hey Warhipster, followed this recipe for my first vindictor and enjoyed it. Any changes you'd make to the recipe knowing anything new you know now?

    Cryptek Armourshade Gloss has been done away with, anyone know what could replace it best?

    Am I nuts for assoicating the taste of retributor armour for cheesy crisps? I just get this weird vibe whenever I see it that I just can't shake
    Random tangent aside, awesome video! Funnily enough my Thunderiers in my KO army are big bronze bastards clad with swag to show off their professionalism and acolytes, and picked up some stormcast to paint. So I feel I'll be copying this soon enough to give some depth to my currently flat bronze/golds. Just I've been away from a brush so long I forgot how to shade my models. XD

      Haha, it’s not an association I’ve made but I get where you’re coming from. Some of the older paints evoke memories/feelings like that for me.
      Thank you very much, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m sure you’ll have those Thunderers and Stormcast looking fantastic in next to no time!

    When you mix your contrast medium with your contrast paints does it make them look milky? I applied the fyreslayer flesh with it and looks quite different to yours

    A great tutorial! Quick Q: coulf you start with a retributor armour spray base coat instead of a grey one?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 года назад

      You certainly can - I prefer to work from the Grey Seer so that I don’t have to paint grey over gold areas before using Contrast on them.

    What brush do you use?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 года назад +1

      I use a Citadel Medium and Small Layer brush for the most part and Artis Opus size 0 and 00 for the detail work.
