We screwed up and left out some of the most important info. So here it is: 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron range: 285 mile range/level II 0-100% charge 10.5 hours or 31 minutes on a 170 kWh DC fast charger from 10-80%. 2024 BMW iX: 324 mile range/level II about 30 miles per 1 hour charging or 90 miles in 10 minutes on at DC fast charger.
Thank you for making this somewhat informative comparison. It's a shame that you guys didn't mention charging time and range, which are among the top concerns of customers.
You are 100% correct. We left out some of the most important info. Won't happen again as we want these videos to actually be helpful! Thanks for pointing it out.
@@kbb No problem at all. Thanks for heeding my suggestion. Looking forward to seeing many more similar videos. Could you make a video comparing the Porsche electric Macan with the Maserati electric Grecale Folgore? Once again, thank you so much for your consideration.
Always been a BMW fanboy but my X5 is going the journey and I have a build date for the Q8 e-tron. The IX is just shocking to look at you’d have to pay me to buy one!
@@sugarhog1938 is that in dollars? The IX and Q8 e tron entry level models are similarly priced here in the UK, however there’s a lot of initiative to lease electric cars through your employer due to tax implications. I’ve ordered a black edition and normally it would be around £1250 to lease monthly with no deposit/down payment but it’s actually costing me £1200 gross off my salary which works out at £702 net. That’s for the car, insurance, tax, maintenance and servicing etc so a deal too good to refuse really.
@@Ryyyzzor in cad. Honestly I think the ix is more compared with the q4. They both priced close. Q4 is 78k while the base ix starts at 74k. Q8 is compared with the eqs. Eqs 580 is 154k

Now that VW/Audi has joined the Tesla charging network, I hope to 2 years of free charging will still apply at Tesla Superchargers which are ubiquitous here in Texas.
The Vag group were late to the party compared to some brands (ahem), and I doubt you will get the VW dieselgate free charging with their Electrify America shitshow with Tesla
Or simply do what I did. Literally buy it a year later. This is AMERIKA! Someone bought this car and can't afford it, that's when you come in and buy it for its depreciating value. For example I wanted a x5m competition, I simply waited and now I'm buying a 2022 x5m competition for 77k. Yet the same vehicle brand new is almost 130k with all the features I'm receiving.
The iX is also the quietest car to drive you can buy until the Rolls Royce Spectre is tested. Check it out. If you want to waft in comfort, then the iX is the choice. If you want to be significantly faster than the Audi, then the m60 is the choice too, check out Car Wow for validated m60 drag races in real world. Nothing whatsoever for sale in SUV or truck match the speed of my wife's model X Plaid, but my iX is significantly the better driver's car and to be inside of, as well as having significantly more range. It would be the ultimate road trip car but for the Tesla advantage of charging. Not long to wait till BMW finishes its NACS accession protocols then we get actual decent fucking charging...
Test drove both ev9 and iX the same day on same road, did not notice any difference in noise on the highway at 130kmh. Both are ridiculously quiet, and quieter than my X5 F15. Bjorn Nyland measured them at same db level at 120kmh
DONT BUY ANY!! 😂 your spending over 80k for a depreciating asset that ONLY goes 253 miles. Buy yourself a Corolla instead because with $30 and less than 5 minutes your have over 300 miles 😂 This not even counting the loss of miles due to cold weather. Also what about the cost of a battery??? It literally cost more than the whole car! 😂

I have owned BMWs and I now own an Audi SQ8 e-tron. No question about it, Audi is a classier vehicle to drive.

I love my IX. It is only ugly if looking at if from the front. Interior is great and it is so quiet.
Ugly is the under statement 😂
Bless ypur soul for driving such a hideous vehicle.
Seems like I am the only person on earth to find it beautiful...
It's beautiful from every angle. Front is actually quite attractive with the M sport package , imo
Q8 etron looks 100x better than the IX, so I’d have to go with the Q8.
Bmw exterior hasnt been good lately...
Audi all day .
only its own mother would love the BMW IX
I'd go Audi. BMW is missing out on looks outside and the dashboard is awful.
