The super dango recovery description is opposite in Japanese and English. The Japanese one matches how it behaves, saying that it procs when a monster can't see you, so it's looking like a translation error, not a bug.
Man, Japanese companies really need to hire better localization teams/translators, and seemingly not just for games as I’ve seen a lot of manga readers complaining about inaccurate or misleading translations. A shame really. I just wanna know what was originally written.
@@mkv2718 honestly it's the only error that's jumped out at me after 50 hours of Sunbreak playing it in both languages. And it's an easy mistake to make, if you mix up whether they're referring to the player or the monster not being seen yet. Meanwhile they've done a great job translating all the flavor and puns in the various quest descriptions 👍
@@mkv2718 it's just a mistake. Overall the translation is pretty good. Capcom is Japanese but most of their recent games are already targeted to global audience.
@@mkv2718 Japanese is very hard to translate to English. Japanese is a highly contextual language, a slight oversight can completely ruin the sentence. In Japanese, you can omit pronouns (he, she, it .etc) it takes much more effort to translate things which make for a bigger room of error. Another thing is cultural difference, culture in Asia is very different than that of the west, a lot of concepts are missing in western languages, it would be a nightmare to translate those. As someone who can speak Japanese, translating it is not as simple as checking the dictionary to put the appropriate words, Google can do that for you, but rather a process of understanding and rewriting.
THANK YOU for doing this. Dango food skills are one of those things on a hunt you can easily overlook/undervalue. I thought adrenaline was 1.35x damage but it's good to know its 1.25x at rank 1 then 1.30x for the rest of the ranks.
i love the Spiritbird dango Lv4 - with the "spiritbird call" skill and the spirtitbird rampage skill ^^' and you have full life bar, full stamina bar, full defense and attack from the "petalace" in 1m30 ^^' Very confi !!!
In world "discovery" meant when the you were in the range that the monster had a "purple" eye icon. In Rise it's not present, but monsters still do behave in a way where they where they have the "discovery range". You might for example be able to approach a monster from behind and get the regen, while anjanath is trying to "sniff you out". that said, if it IS a translation error and only works when monsters CANT see you, then it doesn't even utilize the discovery state monster have, at all. This would mean that you wouldn't get health regen when hidden from monsters that are close by.
The reason for the extra defense with adrenaline is probably for dealing with chip damage when behind a shield instead of just straight up tanking a hit. Anyhow, thanks for this info, been wondering this info, especially after I noticed how the temper steadiness changes when I had it at level 3. But again, great vid, been wanting this info since day 1! I forget tho, do temper and marksman stack?
Lotta people sleepin on Dango Driver. Lvl 4 driver leaves what seems to be 90% of damage taken as red health. We aren't doing super meta builds/runs, but it's super nice that in the 90% chance it procs, you essentially turn gourmet fish into a full heal item that also gives recovery over time. We have a ride range SnS player on the squad, everyone eats for driver, and then he can speed eat free meal fish at will as the party-heal. Sure, heal powders are free with amiibos, but /anyone/ can cook up some fish, and then you have 10 powders per mission (=
Wow I got to the same super dango recovery + gourmet fish conclusion just experimenting yesterday lol, also if you have 1 recovery up deco you heal even more HP with the dango and the fish, andif you have 2 you don't lose health at all, although you sacrifice the resenment buff for comfort.
I use the wirebug evade to quick sheathe. I've found you can toss flash bombs after the evade while you're mid air so it's a stylish way to ground any flyer.
Super recovery Dango getting the Narwa Ibushi Soul effect treatment I see. Idk why translation cant communicate with testing, considering this type of stuff happened in base Rise.
I just made one today, got a 3800 damage wakeup hit, felt so damn good. With really good sticky 3 too, so I can KO the monster for safer wyverns. Pair that with 2 palamutes with sleep silkbinders for 3-4 sleeps per hunt and you can really bring the pain man
felyne medic and the recovery up armor skill both affect the regens from gourmet fish and super recovery dango, making them go from 60% of dereliction to 90% of dereliction, it's almost so good that resentment might be in trouble!
I've been sleeping on SDR! About to make an Archfiend LBG build with Dereliction and try it out. Thanks for the good work and I'll throw Silence a sub.
Marksman lvl4 should be an increase of .5% damage over lvl3, given you shoot enough times for RNG to settle around average values, with shorter hunts favoring the increased odds of lvl3. The difference is so small though that I'd decide based on what other Dango slot I need rather that the minuscule damage variation. The actual mathematical best decision really boils down to how the game handles decimal rounding, because 5%, 10%, .5% for damage numbers under 100 could translate to being lost somewhere in the damage formula.
Haven't done gunner yet in Sunbreak, but even Dango Feet being level 1 Flinch Free is super helpful to me as due to not cheating talismans I'm usually a 1 slot away from super efficient Element attack 5 on my swax, which I would then regain through feet. Will give it a shot later (and gunning again but new shiny counters are fun!)
LVL 3 Booster also only lasts 8 minutes. Did the testing. Lvl1&2: 10 minutes, Lvl 3&4: 8 minutes. Posted a sheet and am working with the community on the details regarding all Dangos, if anyone is looking for more info on them: www.reddit.com/r/MHRise/comments/vz6baj/mhr_sunbreak_know_your_dango_dango_skill_sheet/?context=3
Monsters have always had an "alert mode". It's basically a window of time the monster senses you but if you run out of its detection zone, it will not aggro you. In Rise, I believe it's when the monster has a yellow eye. Yellow eye = Alert, Red Eye = Detected/Aggro, Purple = Fleeing. What I'm getting at is that Super Dango Recovery 1-3 probably works when it has a yellow eye or any time after it first aggros you but doesn't have a red eye.
Something to note: dereliction leaves your hp as recoverable (red). Gourmet fish also heals the red portion of the gauge...which makes super dango recovery a bit irrelevant outside combat imo. Granted, I need to test if it'll heal a fully red bar (1hp left) as I tend to use it sooner.
For the elemental dango set, won't it be better to take temper 3? Although you don't gain much, but at least it's better than adrenaline. Since you won't proc it for a long time with super recovery+ fish.
I always finds it funny how our Kamura hunter only got, like what, 9 colorful sticky rice balls as hunt prep. While all previous hunters feast like a king before the hunts lmao
For anyone wondering: Marksman has the highest damage increase at LVL 4. LVL 3 gives an avarage of 3.5% more damage and level 4 gives and avarage of 4% more damage, so don't fall for Angbatas lies!
it's not a lie, it's just that in probabilities 70% will always be better than 40% it's not even a 1/2 chance to get the 10% boost damages but sure be this kind of guy, i bet u are fun at parties.
@@ClassicThermite i just showed good sense and used my brain to demonstrate u are wrong and only did this either because misinformate or to get attention.
