Agree Bree your hair down has transformed your from a good looking to a goursios young lady. Watch out for the young gentlemen that will come calling. Love how your family works together. Blessings Amen
Not only is your hair beautiful down, but anyone can see what she'll look like as she ages...her grandmother does NOT look old enough to have middle-aged children, and her mom has always been a wow...........but the subject for the day is her great bedroom...I love the 'Easter-y' colors...so light and bright...don't forget to buy a few sheets and put them away. Some day you'll want a tablecloth, or a dust ruffle or the heavy sun will damage the new curtains...if you tuck away a few extras, you will have replacement fabric that will match everything you already have.
@@deemail100 So true. She may want to double up on the new curtains making them twice as thick that way she'll still have the color inside the room while the curtains next to the window will bleach out.
I like how Shelly explained what a variety the U.S.A has to offer. It's vast lands, variety of people and their creativity for work and homes. It's nice to be reminded to explore this big nation.
My reaction to your hair down Bree was the same as everyone else's.... Wow, wow, wow... you are a stunning beauty... why have you not been swept off your feet yet? The van conversion is moving again... Yay!!! And those yellow curtains look amazing... Not being in the USA, it was wonderful to see the different states, all beautiful and all so different... We are ocean people and don't live too far away, that salt air calms our souls... Cheers for Sharing your family with us all...
Bree, your room looks fantastic! I love the blue and yellow together. I know you are thankful to have a giving sister that is talented on the sewing machine plus a sense of humor! Bree, your hair is beautiful! Gary & Shelly, thanks for taking us along on your trip. I have never been to any of those states - God has certainly created very beautiful scenery all over the USA! Garen & Ellie, I love all the wood y'all are using; looking so nice! "Your Little Sweetheart is getting cuter every time I see her! .God bless
Living and traveling full time in our RV for 5 years ... I drove on all the same roads that Mom & Dad traveled on their trip. Geological forensics were my biggest fascination and joy ... watching the landscape change and understanding how the planet evolved. Just the best!
Curtains look great! I used to say good morning to Jesus every morning when I opened my curtains and continue with a little “good morning prayer” with every curtain in the house. I am in love with the van project!
So wish these was a little longer. So look forward to Friday, Monday, and Wednesday. Friday is my favorite and would totally enjoy more. Thanks bunches
I can't believe you drove by the street that drops down to where my wife and I live in Lincoln City, Oregon on your trip to Washington and didn't honk! Glad everyone is home and safe and you had a great trip. Such a great family. Take care and stay well all of you.
What a treat for Mom and Dad to travel and enjoy the sights with family. I feel like I got some traveling done for this summer. Thanks for sharing some of it. Bree, your room looks so roomy with those colors. Nice job on the curtains Shae. The van is really coming together. 🚐 Catch ya on Monday .....
Thank you to the whole family so grateful for you folks bringing us along on your journeys. I feel very honored. Curtains are beautiful and the van sides are beautiful!!!! Thank you for sharing the country side of the USA. Totally different view than flying!
When mum said that they hadn't seen the ocean in years, that really hit me. Especially when they reacted to seeing just a small portion of the coast. I live in Tonga and see the ocean multiple times daily, as well as paddle on it often. Thanks for reminding me to appreciate what many don't experience too frequently 💓💓
When y’all were on I-40 in Tennessee, you drove right by my house! I live in Jackson. I love the curtains and your room, Bree. The van is looking so cool. Thank you for sharing your family. ❤️❤️
All I can say is that I feel the love and exciting energy that you all have toward each other and your passionate projects! I’ve been watching My Little Homestead for 3 or 4 years now! You guys bring me Lots of joy!
I love Garens 'adjuster tool' (sledgehammer). LOL great job on the curtains Shea and the color is so happy with the blue. wish mom and dad would have visited on their way through Alabama. well, I think they came nearby anyway we are only about an hour from Nashville.
Great curtains Shae! Your room is perfect Bree! Always knew you were beautiful without your ponytail. Beautiful road trip mom, and Dad. That van is going to be amazing Garen, and Ellie.
Sad that a lot of the forest you drove through is probably burnt now. 😢 Hope your brother/ uncles’ property was ok. Good you got to see it while it was still so beautiful. Lots of progress on the van and curtains, everything is really coming together. So nice that the oldies got to go on an amazing road trip together, great memories for you all.
Thank You Thank You Thank You. I don't get to travel and you just showed me what I'm missing and what I look forward to in the future. I Love watching your family adventures.
My first ever curtains when my husband and I were first married 25 years ago were literally ripped from old sheets and frayed purposely. We laundered them after we got the panels the length and width we wanted and then we ripped strips of excess sheet to thread through holes (almost like raw button holes) every 3-4 inches along the top of the panels and tied them to a decorative rod with a little bow...the cutest curtains and we got many compliments on them! Very cheap and no-sewing at all!!!
That is funny Bree! I would totally sew anything as long as I don’t have to iron! I detest ironing, actually when I iron there is more wrinkles than when I started😂.
Y'ALL are beautiful family. I love watching your videos. I lost my son June 30, 2020. We love how much y'all love and work together. He would tell me I should had more children. God bless Y'all.
Oh man....I miss the ocean! I grew up near the ocean and went there every day as a kid. Even as a teenager, I went to the beach as much as I could and then lived near a beach for while. But when I stayed at a hotel on the beach, back around 2006, I could hear the ocean and it was NOT happy. Since then, I do not stay near that. Times are changing and perhaps we will have oceanfront property in Arizona!
Great week's video! Really enjoyed the road trip scenery! And everything else! Yes, Brea, the hair down looks great! The bedroom feels very serene! Love the colors. Glad to see the van conversion continue. And little Azalea making funny faces! Squinting and smiling! She is too adorable, and it's a blast getting to watch her grow!
Mom and Dad, you took me on an old home trip for sure! I live in Oregon right now, but have lived in California, Washington, Wyoming, and was born and raised in Minnesota!!! My uncle lived in Coure de Lane (sp?) and South Dakota where he died in a way that made the news! He took his dog out from the town to let her run and his truck died so he started walking. In his eighties, he got tired, sat down, and froze to death. The van is coming along and the curtains look great!!! Love blue and yellow together! Love you guys! 💖😎
I want to say that you guys are awesome. You have such a diversified channel. Woodworking, Sewing, Van conversion project, Earthbag building, Aquaponics, 3D digital printing, Cooking, etc. Thank you for not doing the same thing week in and week out. It surely is refreshing to watch what comes next with your family. 👍👍
those curtains just pull that room all together and the road trip looked fantastic and the family together how long did the trip take through all those states
Y’all are my favorite show! Podcast is wonderful! I’m going to go do Patreon too! You’re all just so very kind. I need your kind of joy. Thank you all for giving joy, kindness, and good internet content😊
I did the same thing with curtains and probably the same hooks, but i got pvc and slid the rod in it and threaded the hooks, it just beefed up the rod a bit, good job! 😀
Want to give sincere compliments to the editor of this episode....usually the editing is very nice....but from my view, this week was spectacular! Thanks again for another set of enjoyable stories.
Bree, your room is beautiful. I love the blue and yellow color scheme. Those are my favorite colors. And Shae, good job on sewing the curtains. I am jealous of your fabulous Singer 201. Also loved seeing more of Gary and Shelly's trip with her mother and brothers across our great country, and I always enjoy watching little Azalea help Garen and Ellie with their projects! :-)
My mother and I started traveling together across the United States when I was 3 months pregnant and finished our journey when I was 5 months pregnant. Watching this has brought back happy memories of my Mother getting us lost because she was on the wrong page of the Thomas atlas! We laughed so hard talking about it over the years. I totally miss my Mom. She went home in 2012. She is waiting for me and we will most likely talk about our 2 months journey.
Looks like you had a very memorable trip, thanks for including us in such a personal time of your life. Thought I had missed the van work, but nope they have been busy raisen a sweet little girl, nice work
Shea, literally, letting her hair down at the end. I've commented on this before, but, you can tell she's the kind of lassie who has no idea about how bonnie she is; bless her wee cotton socks.
There is nothing like a great American Road trip. We did a family trip out west and it was so beautiful. These United States have an indescribable beauty that not enough people experience.
I agree Bree, you are such a pretty girl, wearing your hair down really enhances that beauty, not to mention that it is much healthier for your hair, as wearing it continuously in a bun causes breakage. You go girl ❤👍
It's so nice once the kids are old enough that you are pretty sure the house won't burn down and you can take off on a trip like that. Though I'm sure it is nice to know that Earthbag houses are naturally fire proof...
Well, being as the next few comments all said what I agree with about your hair, I will only say that I TOTALLY understand why you wear it up! I have longish hair but I too only really put it down to wash. The pastel blue, yellow are so soothing! And great pillows! Shea did you a grand help with the curtains. 💞
I live in central Washington. Up on the Waterville Plateau, the terrain is rolling with sagebrush, grass, and wheat. There are very few trees, except where the homesteads are and were. Many of the homesteads are abandoned and falling apart, but there are still quite a few that are occupied.

Bree, beautiful bedroom and agree, hair down- beautiful
I didn't know you went along this way! (Indiana) hope you enjoyed!
Just a tip. For fullness with the curtains, ratio is 2 1/2 times width of window for fabric panels. Use of sheets is a great idea. Looks beautiful.
The curtains are the icing on the cake 🎂. The van is looking good. Shelley, welcome home.
