I got over through the pain of powering up not needed characters and found that i havent regretted it ever since. Apoc is a beast.
It’s still a big accomplishment when you bring him up to 7* and get to use that sweet frame they give you
While it's difficult to get him, but unfortunately u need him, can't use mephisto for dd7 first run, not taking ultron or ultimus over him, dd8 mythic ranking mephisto,skrull,apoc
I strongly disagree. Apocalypse is still one of the best characters in the game and he will be for a long time. New players will just have to suffer just like the rest of us and build those teams if they want him. But he is still definitely worth it.
i agree. they should just give more training mats, so people can build those teams more quickly and maybe get rid of the gear requirements for entering the saga - if you can beat it with lower gear, go for it.
I think as good as apocalypse is, they should be giving free gear and training materials for the required characters for the unlock, I was halfway towards meeting the requirements for baby apocalypse but I've put that on hold, I put a lot into spider society, I need to invest in my raid teams.
No one wants to build dieing teams as a new player though. They would rather build the newest team because they will always be better.
Plus Gearing/gold cost to get this 1 character is incredibly annoying. Why build TWO whole mutant teams that are useless when you can build x-treme team? Apoc is such a late game luxury character. By the time most these new players get him he will be obsolete or close to like ultron and doom.
@@shika.nomura I strongly disagree. I didn't want to build 23 characters to g17 blue iso 5 when Apoc was brand new but I did it. New players just need to suck it up and do what needs to be done. Not saying they need to do it quickly, but over time. It's a resource management game so they just need to prioritize wisely. Apoc is needed for Endgame content. No question. And Apoc will be valuable for a long time. His kit and power level will never be obsolete because with each new gear tier and dark dimension you will always bring up Apoc because of the Mythic tag.
@@shika.nomura in swgoh people build characters that they know they will not use just to unlock better characters and its not a big problem. but the fact that any team or character that is older than 2 years (without reworks) are pretty much useless in MSF is the big problem here. they should expand CC and war to 15-20 teams on defense, and suddenly a lot of older teams would be useful again
You need apocalypse! It's a PAIN to get but he is everywhere necessary and can beat the best in OML, SUS and others. He's like a cheat code with his falcon punch. Worth it!
I’ve asked this exact question on Reddit most people say go for Apocalypse. I asked Valley in a mailbag question he always go for Apocalypse. However I asked Boilon and he said no and that he wasn’t going for Apocalypse with is boasted baby account.
Nothing but love for Tauna, but I couldnt disagree more on this. Apocalypse is still a beast and a top 2 or 3 toon over a year later.

The greatest argument I've heard for not investing into a character is that they are old. I never hear the argument that not investing into a character is a good idea because the gold and training mat requirement is fairly outrageous. Honestly you don't need Apocalypse until dark dimension 6; the global nodes are tuned around him. He's not needed in raids: he's not needed in arena unless you're surrounded by other Apocalypse teams. He's more of a side project than a main goal right now.
Skipping Apocalypse will hurt you if you care about arena. If you dont then yes invest all in raid teams.
They could just give those characters tokens for the characters you need to unlock Apoc. That way you won’t need to waste so many resources

yeah Apolyspeee is stilll a superrrrrrrrrrrrr important character, this is prolly not the best advice to say skip, when he still the top 3 to 4 best character in the game, what I think they need to do is turn his thing into a DD, and make gier 17 the requirement rather than the horse men teams

As a f2p is does take A WHILEEE but I'd say its still worth it, like I've been trying to finish all the nodes for maybe 2 years now? But thats just due to blue iso'ing is expensive as hell especially since its 4.6 teams 23 characters...
Also maxed apoc would be good for DD6/7
They just need to tweak the iso requirements

If your new, by the time your looking at dd4 or 5 that’s when you should start progressing towards apoc especially because 4 star OML is better than baby apoc. But big boy apoc has such an amazing kit he’ll be usable for a long time.

Apo is still a must have for dd6/dd7, only charaxncter that can really delete OldManLofan most of the time, he light no be priority, but to say he is trash ... vs black knight he is better than skrull, versus old man logan also.... i wanted to loon at your scopely revenue video jut it seems you removed it?

what is it with vids like this????? who cares if it takes a lot to get him gear is so freely given out nowadays same with ions with doing well in war. 3 of 4 hosemen teams still make good teams to counter some teams let alone they still plugble in toons at one point had use MLF in arena to counter black knight with bleeds with robbie... then we have new accounts that are also boosted in everything.
yearly toon requirements should be hard to get just like galactic Legends are in Star Wars op toons shouldn't be a cake walk
Any advice saying to skip Apoc is bad. Iso 5 was the bottle neck before but its easy as hell to get now and Teal gear is even easier. Apoc is still one of the best characters in the game and still the only character to stop safeguard. Bad take Tauna.

Poor advice
Unless you know something the rest of us don't(i.e. changes to his unlock requirements), this has to be the worst advice you ever given. Apoc is the second most powerful toon in the game behind Logan, and the only direct counter against Logan. Apoc is a must have character, even if only baby, and I don't see that changing in the near future.
Are you ok sir? There is no need to create clickbait like this. The whole game is balanced around this character and Scopely just doesn't want you to feel good about it. You need to build Apoc to get any progression or to even maintain parity in game modes like crucible. Do you feel good when dealing with content where Apocalypse is needed? No...and thats the problem with the game right now. We have tools that are power crept to the point where the game is obnoxious to play because the DEVs dont know how to keep things fun and interesting.
You dont need Apoc bro. Im doing fine in crucible without him, lol. The teams are near useless, except apoc himself but he's a single toon. I have prioritized resources in xtreme, hivemind, spider society, OOT, cabal, now, alpha flight and mercs.. All those teams are much better than the teams used to get Apoc and the guys i face off against in my crucible bracket has their apoc teams on defense, which really does suck. Sure they take out a team of mines with apoc, but than what? They used so much resources on unlocking him, their raid teams, crucible teams and premier war teams arent up to snuff. LOL, I wholeheartedly disagree you need apoc to see progression, that simply isnt true.
clearly aint that high in CC then or arena, As time goes on and G18-G19 and 7 star OML his only one going permanently counter him...
DD6 and 7 turn multble hits into 1-2 hits max
