I was in Air force during the release of these movie still I don't hesitate to listen to the song now I am 76+.
I was able to see this movie during 1968 from Trissur during my pre degree days. Later I was blessed to see Darjeeling during 1988. I
would never forget Mahendrakapoor Sab Ravi Sab and this beautiful movie. This is a one in a million milestone song which has no parallels probably. I am thankful to all people who like this song. Not able to forget the same. Jai Hind.

My late father used to sing this song when I was a young child when we joined him in Britain in 1968. I wrongly searched for it many times using Leele Gagan… without success. Then presto one day I heard it on a golden oldies compilation. I shared the song with my siblings. One of my most favourite songs.
I was in Bijapur Karnataka now Vijayapur ,studying in 4 th STD in 1967 when I heard this song . Now I am 63 yrs old un forgettable song.
Sir this is an evergreen song. It was released yrs before my birth but still i love it. Now i am 36 and sometimes i fell i am getting old but when i listen to the song, its always fresh and never fail to creat the magic. Im a Malaysian, aged 64. When I first came across the instrumental version of this song I was 10 yrs old and was attending The Royal Indian Circus in 1969. Since then I have enjoyed listening this amazing song so many times so much so it had become one of the top hundred songs of my life. Lately, saw the grandson of singer Mahendra kapoor singing this on stage. AWESOME !!!

I'm not Indian but this is the earliest Indian song I remember hearing (despite being an early 90s baby). I've been looking for this song for years but all I could remember was the fact that it was an old Indian song. lol Tonight, I decided to try and search again and somehow part of the melody came back to be. Thanks to modern technology I was able hum the part I remembered to SoundHound and I finally found this gem. I now have it saved. Haha
