These parades are nowhere near as live as they were from the 90s to about 2013. Alot of Dominicans moved out of New York City and the newer generation of Dominicans are more Americanized and politically indoctrinated. The after party use to be crazy in Washington heights.

Of course, there are more Puerto Ricans living in the United States mainland than there is in Puerto Rico. Thats means more numbers and representation for events like these, but I don't know if that's a good thing lol. Majority of Dominicans live in the Dominican Republic.
@@josemorel3775 Puerto Rican parade has always been more bigger. You have to remember, puerto ricans are united states citizens and the majority of them live in the United States, so because of this they will have larger numbers at their events and more representation, but I don't think that's a win for them it just shows how most of them don't live on their land.
