Love this video more like this! Pike fishing with lures is such a rush it's probably one of my most favourite types of fishing up there with fishing for sea bass with lures. I'd be lying though if i wasnt a little bit scared of pike. Their hits on the lure are always so so aggressive and seem to come as such a surprise out of nowhere. Your pike you catch always seem so calm out of the water. Mine however are usually a real struggle to keep hold of, always flaring their gills and then having a head shake ect. I tend not to handle them for long, just unhook them as quick as possible then let them recover in the net or by the bank and let them swim off.

Jak złapałem karpia - metrówka - i do wody zacząłem wpuszczać, to Holender, stojący obok się pytał, czy mięso od tak dużej już nie dobre? Czy może gatunek nie taki?... Tyle, że tu jest tyle kanałów i tyle ryb, że nie do ogarnięcia. Jak w Polsce za komuny ktoś wyciągnął coś z wody, a wiadomo, że na półkach tylko ocet był, to oczywiście, że brał, by rodzina coś oprócz sztawiu z łąki, lub chleba z wodą i cukrem mogła zjeść. A te ryby, co wymieniłeś, to nie są dwu-letnie. Nawyki ludzkie i puste wody po prostu ciężko się odnawia.

Very nice video. Very cool looking pikes. The arrangement on the spots are very different on some of those from what we catch here in the United States. Although some of them look like they could use a good meal very nice just the same good job.

Awesome guys! I’m a fly fisher, but I still love fishing for Pike and Muskie with the big tackle. My largest Pike is 46” and I won the pool for largest Pike of the trip $880.00 with that one. Oh, and I’ve been to Holland twice and love the country. I remember the Pfannakocken (I know it’s spelled wrong...)
Just a heads up if you visit the Netherlands in april. From april first till the last saturday of may it is prohibited to fish with any kind of lure or dead bait. This way its not possible to go pike or zander fishing using lures or dead bait. Although you can fish with a live worm even when trageting zander or perch, catch and release ofcourse. Guess you have to enjoy the other things Amsterdam has to offer ;)

Nice video and lovely places even though I prefer fishing in more isolated natural areas. Every time I was in Holland I was thinking what the dutch guy said, pikes everywhere. Every water looked pikey to me, really have to go on a fishing trip to Holland! :) Can anyone tell what spinner baits they're using(which company)? I have a pretty nice collection, but more variety is always nice and I fish a lot on a lake where spinner bait is by far the most effective lure.
kanalgratisdotse Ya, the US has it. If you every visit the Wisconsin it is a must have. The climate and fish species are very similar to the places you fish. There are big pike, perch, and carp here too.
Great vid! But guys. I'm sure you know, that putting and dropping the Pike in the grass is going to destroy the slime, and eventually cause fungus on the Fish. Which will spread to other Fish, and kill every individual that gets it... Always great content, but as very experienced Fishermen, that I know you are, at least you @Tobias Ekvall, I'm sure you know how to treat the Fish. Given that so many people watch these videos, it's a bit sad to see you guys throwing around the Fish in the grass... then C&R all of a sudden becomes pointless. No release, no glory, but release and handle the Pike properly. Much love from Denmark.

I typically fish for trout in the US, but I am moving to the Netherlands so I have to study up on pike fishing! But while watching this, I was amazed at the C&R practices. I chalked it up to the fact that pike are not as delicate as trout, but according to you, PredatorKingFishing, they were indeed roughing up the fish a bit. Related question, how long should a pike be out of the water? I've heard the rule of thumb for trout is that it should only be out of the water as long as the angler can hold his/her breath.

@@lukadobo4769 Yes, but you cannot fish all the waters. Like the video showed it's with an app that tells you where you can fish. And yes I know, I went fly fishing for trout in Slovenia on the Idijca and Soca, for us tourists it was 60€ a day! But what a beautiful rivers!

Luka Dobo I think it’s a SPRO spinnerbait. You can buy it online or if you visit the Netherlands it’s in 90 percent of the fishing stores.
I use savage gear swimbaits they work great in my area (Utrecht)

@@kamildombrowski6748 Ja w Amersfoort powyciągałem sztuki, ale tu jest taki problem, że można tylko bardzo blisko miast coś połowić. Jak jest rzeka poza miastem, to 90% ogrodzona całq płotem - bo pole, albo zabudowana.
Jeśli kupisz kartę Holenderską, to możesz pobrać VisPlanner. To apka pokazuje miejsca, w których wogóle możesz łapać.

@@uncutfishing Mostly catch and release, but some older people still take their fish with them tho.
@@mrmax92i 35€ per year?! That is insanely cheap, in Slovenia you pay 20€ minimum for 1 day and you're only allowed to fish the lake/part of river you buy license for.
@@lukadobo4769 Yes, but you cannot fish all the waters. Like the video showed it's with an app that tells you where you can fish. And yes I know, I went fly fishing for trout in Slovenia on the Idijca and Soca, for us tourists it was 60€ a day! But what a beautiful rivers!

Very nice video, but... does your reel have no drag adjuster? Of course you are loosing pike like that, man.
Thanks! My drag is always the hardest it can be when fishing for pike. As you could see, not a single millimeter of line was pulled out. Don't exactly know why they came off
