Once again, I have turned to you for guidance! I listened to Jesse Manibusan first, but I always like to get your take on the songs. Because we are worshiping via zoom, we don't have our guitarist, but this is one I know he will love. He enjoys watching your fingering on the chords and the strum patterns. For now, it will just be me with my husband and piano, but I am going to send this to him. He has you bookmarked and always goes to you!
That’s so great to hear. I always record my videos so both my hands can be seen, that way people can pick up some of what I’m doing. I’m really glad this is helpful you guys. God bless
Really like this song. We'll be doing it in our parish in September when our CCD classes resume. It is a gentle reminder of what it means to be Christian.
Wow! Just beautiful! Thank you so much for recording this song. It's not in our Glory and Praise book but I will learn it and save it for a special post-Communion meditation.
yeah me too. I've already been using it at our school masses, and it will be in the 2018 Breaking Bread books from OCP (not sure if that's what you use in your parish). :-)
Chris Brunelle I haven't been able to get to get this out of my head since yesterday!! It's so perfect. And I love the tempo and the way you played it.
:-) Thanks so much. I'm glad it'll be in the book and I'll be able to start using it at mass soon. Also new in the book will be another song from Jesse, "All Are Welcome". A lot of people are groovin' on that one too. I haven't recorded it yet....I've got a bit of a cold at the moment and I'm going out of town in a couple days......but maybe next week
I think that's a fine tempo. It's a wee bit quicker than the recommended tempo in the Breaking Bread, but guess what? JM's own rendition on The Commons is at nearly the same tempo as your cover, so I think yer good!
Chris: our choir often does this song, and our choir director particularly loves your intro. Have you scored it (or tab?) Doing it by ear has been hit and miss. Thanks.
That's great to hear, thanks. No I haven't scored it, and I don't read/write tabs. Although.....someone took one of my videos the other day (I think it was Be Not Afraid) and wrote out my picking pattern and posted it. I'll see if I can find that and see if he'd be willing to do this for this song. God Bless
Looks really good. I hope he can help with the intro for this one too. I tried one of those online Score generators to try to get the first 4 -8 bars, but it did lousy. thanks for looking into it!
Lyrics have been added in the description of the video. Or you can click on the "to purchase music" and it will take you to the sheet music if you want to see the chords/lyrics. A year or so ago, Oregon Catholic Press asked that I type in the lyrics and provide a link to the music, but there are quite a few older videos out there where I wasn't doing that. enjoy
We are singing this for Divine Mercy. It is so beautiful and powerful...
Increíble. Thank you for making this video. Such beautiful song. All you need is to sing it with Jesse. Bendiciones.
just started learning this & can't wait to sing it for the congregation
Loved to hear you sing.
What a beautiful song! Thank you to Jesse for writing it and thank you for this lovely rendition. Blessings!
We're singing this tomorrow. God bless you all. Hold onto His love.

St. Irenaeus parish, Park Forest, IL will be singing this song during advent. Thanks for sharing your gifts with us, Chris. Blessings.
Excellent! I've been using it at my school masses even though it's not in the book yet (all the kids have to do is sing the "hold on to love" part).
You help me so much in preparing for choir.
That's great, thank you!
Beautiful job on this Jesse song!!! Finally in the psalm books and I lead it last Sunday. The words are perfect for our time, right??

You are a man of few words. But I sense what you want.
