I love the compatibility that cyma has (since it's a clone) so that I could easily restored my old cyma p90 with etu and high rps build. It s been doing great until now
for some reason when I saw the DSG gear and the bearings I had a feeling something would go wrong🤣 still though, when the bushings came on the thing is a ripper for sure, great work☺
Been running bearings in my dsg with no issues. You just have to make sure that you account for the tolerances between the bearing races and not shim them to tightly.

Only things I’d be wary of is 1) get a o-ring air nozzle because better air seal. 2) half a tooth too much was shaved off the piston pickup side, but it shoots fine, as we can all see. And 3) hope those were bushings and not bearings you installed at the end there. Bearings all go boom eventually lol. All in all, good work. Maybe I’ll go install a DSG in my Mp5k now. Lol
Why are u cutting the gearbox part on 11:31 ? Is it because the selector plate needs to travel a bit further to achieve a precise firing mode (single/auto). I own cyma cm041l and have i think similar problem when I installed perun. When i switch to full auto, sometimes it goes back to single mode (blue light).

Perun is good when you don’t want to connect your phone to the ETU and jefftron sensor sticker is a real pain. So far gate aster is the easiest to install.

Hah! I just recently did a MP5K build based on a CYMA, as well. I also modified the rear plate to take a small 1913 rail for a 5KU stock :D
I'll start with the bad stuff by saying that your shimming and soldering job could need some improvement 😅 Otherwise, I really love these ASMR series, especially when you're giving a new life to an old beaten up gun 👍🏻 Funny how the Cyma MP5K uses this support block for the hop up unit. I have an SRC and there's no such thing, but the gun is pretty heavy as is, for such a small package.
@@4UADSmartAirsoft Sure dude, you can only get better with practice. My first shim jobs were absolutely terrible, so much so that it ended up blowing up the small cylindrical electrical fuses that we had back in the day in our replicas 🤭
So long as your main spring is strong enough to return the piston before the sector completes its cycle there is no need to remove teeth from the piston rack besides minimal weight reduction which again, shouldn't be an issue provided the main spring is strong enough.
That poor deans connector... Your soldering iron tip is f-d. It needs to be covered with solder and stay that way when you're not using it. If done properly you can solder a wire to deans connector in 1-2 seconds. Deans connectors melt easily and if heated for too long the metal plate moves. XT60 is much harder to melt since it's made out of much more heat resistant plastic. Using bearings on a DSG? Are you insane? Only J-Caged bearings can handle it but even they can fail. There's absolutely no point testing if the nozzle seals when it's retracted. It should seal when it's at the forward position, where the AEG fires. Also cutting the whole second tooth is a really bad idea, it puts way too much stress on the pickup tooth on an already high stress build. If the AOE is good you only need to sand down a small bit towards the pickup side. I do it at an angle so that there's still material on the other side so that the sector gear can grab it like it was never sanded.
Thanks for the good tips and it seems like I still have a lot to learn. Eventually in the end of the build I did switch to bushings instead of bearings. We don’t know everything in the beginning, and we are still learning, so please do excuse our mistakes, we will learn from that
@@4UADSmartAirsoft A Solder Mate or Helping Hand is really going to transform your work. When you free solder it like that, the vibrations as the solder sets makes you end up with a dry joint. It'll also let you hold the iron against the blade of the Deans connector to bring the (greater mass) of that part up to temp before then rotating the iron slightly to then include the wire. Wet the iron, heat the blade, flow the solder on to the blade and it'll basically fill the gap itself when both parts are hot enough. You pre-tinned the blade which is a really good start though. But yeah, avoid vibration as you solder like the plague. Good luck, we like your videos 👍

I always start my shimming bevel to pinion first. It's the hardest part to get right but my guns make almost zero gear noise.

what is your preferred mosfet/etu for version 3 gearboxes? is it the perun v3 hybrid? It looks alot harder to install than the perun v2 hybrid.

It’s actually a homemade nozzle since the old one is too short, in increase the length so it gets a slightly better air seal
