Wow, incredible. I am 65 years old and have hunted New Zealand one time in 2010. Took a small Tahr with a bow. However, you are a real man. Unbelievable achievement. You guys do outstanding work with video and hunting. Keep it up, you are an inspiration. Kirk
Absolute crackin video, ive said it before and i will say it again. "You guys make the best vids". I reckon that 8 pointer was fairly old. Tough call. Luv the colour of those tarns! Cheerz Boyz. 🦌
Yea agreed on both counts - great video! And that stag was probably at his best 👍 always best to leave him if you aren't convinced though so good call 👏
Cheers mate we really appreciate it! Yea was a very tough decision to make haha… Thought long and hard about it but decided not to as I was looking for something with a few more points, it will definitely make a nice trophy for someone though! Was hoping for some good hunting karma too by leaving it but sadly never happened that trip 😅😂
That was a great watch magic country …what a good effort young man and excellent restraint shown that footage of those animals Gold ..you display maturity beyond your years hope you bag a great trophy in future 👍
Camped at that Tarn at 10 minutes a great spot although its had some pressure the last few years since it featured in a youtube clip. Its pretty epic area for sure.
Yea it’s a pretty mint spot up there! Oh really can’t say I’ve seen it! Yea it’s a bit of a balancing act trying to show off our epic back country but also try and not give the spots away…
Awesome scenery as always - loved it. A little surprised you didn't take that stag. If it were me and I'd been trudging across the mountains with all that kit for ten days, I think I'd have drawn a bead on him. Then again, that would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip for me.
That was a bloody great vid mate, really enjoyed it, you're an absolute legend and fit as hell. Oh how I wish I was 30yrs younger and do it all again 😂
I really enjoyed this video and the quality was amazing. Fantastic country and beyond me now at age 69 with a crook right knee. I think you made the right decision leaving that 8 pointer. Well done and I cant wait to watch the group hunt video.
Feel ya on the Data loss... Atleast your once in a lifetime New zealand living hunting stint wasnt DROPPED on a harddrive.... which broke... im still gutted. Keep up the adventures an the footage takes care of itself ive learnt
Would you say there are fairly versatile. In the terms that you can kinda of shrink or confine them down for smaller hunts as well like only a few nights?
Sorry mate we don't like to share or name the spots we visit! We don't try all that hard to hide where we go if you know the areas, but alot of time and effort goes into route finding and exploring to find these spots.

Great vid, awesome footage. Loved the solo commentary. Can really relate to spending that much time alone in the Bush. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic Landscape, you and your mates are lucky to be able go as often as you can.
Great vid mate. Massive effort. Some lovely work with the drone. Getting me fired up for summer missions. Cheers!
Perfect wx for the coast, what a dream mission!
Yea absolutely lucked out with the weather on this one!

Haha yea definitely came close to having a crack! In the end I was happy enough to just him, it was awesome to see!
A good keen man, welldone.
really gorgeous countryside
nothing gets a hunters heartbeat going like a good roar

Epic bro

Wow what an epic hike the south island is amazing. How heavy was your pack for 12 days of food
Cheers! Not sure maybe around 35kg!
Wicked solo Raddy amazing, you’ve certainly done the hard yards with that adventure truly awesome country!
Cheers Scott! Yea was absolutely stoked with how the trip went, covered some pretty epic country!
Un frickin believe able Raddy , oh to be in my 20s again , ur a machine. I'm not sure I could have passed up that pretty 8pt tho. Awesome vid man.
Cheers mate! Haha yea definitely wasn’t an easy decision to make… 😅
Choppers must've worked that country hard eh..
Great scenery up on the tops there mate! Gutted for you losing your footage!! It’s something that only happens once if your wise 😂
Haha yup fingers crossed!😂😅
Insaneeee
I love it! Do you ever have an issue with the drone scaring off deer? It seems any time send mine up for a look around, I never see anything…
We're really selective about when and where we fly it, if we're wanting to hunt an area we don't put it up! Definitely spooks anything within earshot
Great vid! Can I ask what backpack you are using?
The Tatonka bison 90 + 10 L , they are an awesome pack, virtually bombproof!
Feel ya on the Data loss... Atleast your once in a lifetime New zealand living hunting stint wasnt DROPPED on a harddrive.... which broke... im still gutted. Keep up the adventures an the footage takes care of itself ive learnt
Haha gutted mate… Yea it’s a bit of shame but like you said just gotta get back out there and film some more!
Nice edit! Watch are you use to film?
Cheers mate! We use a few different cameras but the main camera we use for all the animal footage is a Nikon P1000
Why don’t you do a video on all of your gear that you take on your trip? And what you like and dislike about any gear.
Yea we’ve got a few ideas in the pipeline for doing a “what’s in my pack” kind of video so keep your eyes peeled!
What size pack are u using in this vid
Cheers
It’s a 90 + 10 L Tatonka pack, they are an awesome pack, virtually bomb proof and can handle up to 50kgs of weight!
Would you say there are fairly versatile. In the terms that you can kinda of shrink or confine them down for smaller hunts as well like only a few nights?
you must be tough - just one slip and one broken ankle and you would be in real trouble
ive watched a few of your vids. i would love to see some (google maps) map links to see exactly where you want
Sorry mate we don't like to share or name the spots we visit! We don't try all that hard to hide where we go if you know the areas, but alot of time and effort goes into route finding and exploring to find these spots.
@@southislandriflewalkers5545 ahhh yeaa thats cool.
Do you guys have a day job???😄
You always out on adventures…
Haha yea sadly we do all have day jobs but we try to make the most of our time off!
Way to go bro...awesome stuff 🖕
🦌 🔫 🦄
thks for the walk on the tops
I cant believe that you would feel the need to filter that water , probably the purest water you will ever encounter.
