When the LD45 is in its maximum spot mode, what is the transmission efficiency of the optics? In other words, how much light is reflected back at the LED by the lenses (optical group)? Compliments for your new achievement of industrial design. It is rare to see a new substantial improvement in the portable lighting sector - flashlights are slowly getting to the same quintessential status level of paperclips - and you managed to make a definitive improvement anyway. Greetings, Anthony
It would be better if: - it had more bright adjustmens (or infinite or at least a user definide level) - 6000k led instead 6500 (better for eyes) - a UV and red led - commom batteries instead a proprietary one
Just a heads up their warranty isn’t really that great. It is for more or less the lifetime of how long they sell the model not your lifetime. Just had to deal with a light that the charger port no longer works on that is discontinued. Was offered 30% off a new light and sorry about your old light from Fenix. I would recommend another brand that stands behind their products.
The limitations of our warranty are clearly stated. www.fenixlighting.com/policies/terms-of-service "Not all older lights will be able to be repaired due to parts not being available"
Looks awesome. But getting confusing with battery limiations. Does this light require the ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery only? Can you not use older 21700 batteries although they have the same voltage specs?
Still doesn't work like an actual zoom light like the LL Bean one. I can see spill all over. So it works like their old one but only has a rotary switch now, which is better.
Would Still like to have a rotary bezel i could FIRST select the beam intensity / flash mode Before activation of light ( instead of turning on and scanning thru 5 modes and 3 intensities before getting to the one i want. We can put a man on the Moon... ). ☆
MY TEAM ONLY USES FENIX.I DO WISH THEY MADE A NON SILLY BURST OR SOS/STROBE SERIES OF LIGHTS. MAYBE 3-5 STAGES OF ROCK SOLID REGULATION YOU CAN COUNT ON. ODD NOBODY ELSE WANTS THIS. SEMPER SUPRA * CALL THEM FR SERIES FULLY REGULATED

Sorry but it cannot use older batteries. It can use the new Fenix ARB-L21-6000 as an additional option, but nothing older.
@@FenixLightingUSAproprietary batteries kills massive amounts of sales. This is the only thing I was looking for before ordering.
Is this electrochromic or moving parts?
Digitally, no moving parts.
Apakah di Indonesia sudah ada toko resmi fenix?
Please contact the factory at fenixlight.com to see if there is a distributor in your location.

This is a digital zoom. So there is no focusing of a lens, but a pattern that diffuses the beam to get the desired floodlight pattern.

The rotating dial works just like a bezel, but now you don't need two hands to operate, like you would with a rotary bezel.
Make LEP with this technology
there is the ace beam w50 but very expensive. hope to see a zoomable from fenix!!
@@filtax3984Yeah, i know, but I trust more Fenix for personal reasons, That's why I'm waiting for something new from them
Thanks for the feedback. I'll pass that on to the factory.

Led 6500k hurts the eyes.
The more lights there is more hurts.
