    • @oh8wingman
      @oh8wingman 3 года назад +4

      I have a friend who is also very tall as is Massey and he plays the same way. I asked him about it once and he told me his height allows him to see the table from a higher elevation than shorter people and he can see exactly where he has to place the cue ball on the object ball instead of having to envision it as shorter players do. We played a couple of games and I used a milkcrate as a stand to get my height up to his. It didn't take long to figure out what he was doing and he was entirely correct. When playing from a taller position it was more akin to looking straight down on the table and you could see the lines better. The very size of a 6 x 12 snooker table negates this advantage so you have to sight on the cue. Having said that, never play a tall guy on a 4 x 8 8 ball table because he will kick your ass........lol

      @seanscanlon9067 4 месяца назад

      I know that I am answering three years later but it is the first to three racks (or three frames in snooker terms) wins the set, so win 3-0, 3-1 or if it goes 3-2 in racks then you have to win by two clear racks and you would win the set. It was then the best of three sets, so the winner would win 2-0 or 2-1 in sets.
      Then each match winner(s) gained one point for their team.

      It is a foul to hit the 9 ball in after your opponent pushes out. It respots and your opponent gets ball in hand. Mike pushed out, so its ronnie's decision to hit the 1, give the shot back, or take a foul on the 9.

    Massey rarely used inside or check, all running English. Pocketing the two in the 4th he used running again and out of position on three, on playing of which he scratched. Had he used inside he so easily could have come back up for three in the bottom right corner. I'm surprised because I'm sure many of Massey's trick shot lessons are about just that kind of use of English
