@@keronn6444 No,DISCO is the main inspiration ,they have also covered several DISCO songs like the wonderful Bad Girls from Donna Summer,DISCO rules, the best genre EVER!
The end jam was very cool. This man is the living proof that a good guitar player is not necessarily a shredder... That funky chops are awesome! We need a jam between Rob Harris and Pete!!!
Thank you so much for getting Rob on! He is one of my top 5 guitarists ever. I think he is extremely good - seen him live a few times. I have studied his chops ever since he joined Jamiroquai. He always has great tone, never over does it and always compliments the band. He is also a great composer/song writer. I'd love to meet him & take lessons from him one day - he is everything I wish to be as a guitar player.
@@robertwellington2616 yup, would have loved to hear more guitar, but I listened to the end as I was interested to hear what he was talking about. Great interview with the Capt. again.
This is great! Rob is a super nice guy and a great player. Good stories and just a generally interesting watch:-) P.S Kieth Scott PLEEEEEEEESE!!!!!!!!! :-)
This is what I love about watching all the Andertons vids. I completely admit as a kid growing up I positively hated Jamiroquai. I simply could not stand their music nor any of the Acid Jazz bands from that era. But Rob is a very amicable guy (as all your guests are of course) and I found his pre-Jamiroquai story enthralling as well as enjoying his playing and insights. Just shows.... watch ALL these vids even if its an artist you're not really a fan of!
It's lovely. Nile Rodgers on "Thinking of You" by Sister Sledge would like to have a word... ^ I wrote that before 11:26 where Mr. Harris talks about hearing it!
They got the Radiohead guy on the other show so let's get the one from Jamiroquai on ours hehehe by the end of the year they are going to up the ante so much it's going to be John Mayer, David Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Carlos Santana, Brian May, Slash, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page on these shows :) I'm certainly not complaining btw for the record hehehe
11:27 Rob Harris plays Nile Rodgers' immortal rhythm guitar from Chic's "Thinking of You" for Sister Sledge ♥️👂🎸. From what song is the riff at 12:13? 13:06 is Nick Heyward's riff from Haircut One Hundred's "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)"; Heyward's sound on their next single "Love Plus One" is the greatest scratch tone I've ever heard. And what song is he playing at the opening?! Beautiful, and monster technique.
Rob Harris plays a few short parts of famous riffs... The entire video gets demonetized or taken down. The music industry gets even more money. Thank you!
I really enjoyed to hear some of Jamiroquai’s writing/recording style. I love how no nonsense they are haha! You can’t polish a turd eh? Great musicians make great music.
Anyone hear that sound in the background? Sounds like Danish Pete vacuuming. I half expected him to walk across the frame while they were talking, smiling at the camera.
I wonder why so many in interviews on you tube begin almost every sentence with "but...yeah" or "and yeah" ? Does anyone know how this speech pattern began?
all of Jamiroquai's live musicians are monsters.
We want more DISCO-FUNK guitar players!!!
That's more like jazz-funk i think.
They have one of the best bassists at the time too

Jamiroquai
Yes, there is more than shredding in this world. Awesome!!!
Awesome. I love that Anderton's is so 'major' that they can get major artists for interviews. Cool interview. Cool dude. I love Jamiroquai....
Rob is a killer player
Great to see so much love for Rob in the comments. Fabulous musician.

Intro jam -> thumb up. Haven’t even watched the whole thing yet. Sick playing!
Nikoo033 mostly talking.
Jamiroquai are one of my all time faves, awesome sound, great to meet the player that pulls those guitar grooves!
love the Jeff Healey shout. he was an incredible guitar player (a Canuck too!).
Blackmore loved Healeys playing as well
YEEESSSSS!!! rob harris is a bloody fantastic player, there are not enough videos of him
Great interview could listen to Robs stories all night ... good to see a guy in the Andy Summers school of thought doing so well ,great player .
Liked at 25 seconds in. Funking superb.
Rob Rochester sadly, that’s all that was really played.

Rob Harris is a brilliant player, thanks for uploading
Jamiroquai have a quite impressive live performance.
I’ve been waiting for this interview, Rob is one of my favourite guitarists, such an inspiration.
Great interview - thank you!
What a legend Rob is and his playing is so damn tight. Thanks for this Andertons! One of my fav guitar players of all time

Wonderful interview. Really inspiring.
DAMNNNNN This video made my day! Rob Harris is so underrated! Love this dude!!!! Amazing player, so humble and so GOOD! Funk-da-funk!
HELL YEAH!!! Now you gotta get Stuart Zender
One of my production tutors from ICMP, Nate Williams has been doing live keys and some guitar for Jamiroquai on the last tour. Great to see this!
What a fantastic interview and insight, excellent stuff
I am not going to say this has been the best one, but the one I've most enjoyed for sure. Awesome! Thanks.
Did Pete get a chance to play with Rob? I think they'd be a great complimentary pairing.
What a treat thanks guys
That was great. i just spent Sunday afternoon talking guitar n stuff with me mates. I think dinners ready as well. I'm starvin'.
Finally! Thank you!
Great guitar player. Nice guy, too!
Great video, love Jamiroquai. Interesting that the live shows are very much live.
What a week with this and Ed O'Brien on TPS!
banging out that Chic riff...very clever...love the tale about the fast recording process...

Gary Newman’s in cars was covered by fear factory and it also features Gary Newman. Hell of a good cover.
Johnhitbox Yep, in 1999. The Captain said a heavy metal cover had never been done, but it had, 20 years ago.
Chord TheSeeker yeah I know! Actually my band used to do a heavy metal cover in 2001-2005
I saw NIN play it live with Gary Newman as a special guest
Uno de mis guitarristas favoritos.
That is so cool that u shout to Keith Scott.... his playing on “cuts like a knife”, “reckless” and “into the fire” is sooooo good
Rob is a nice guy!
What a top bloke
I love my rock and metal, but I love Jay Kay's music!
Fear factory have done “cars” so it has been done. Great story about recording “Little L” one of my fav songs!
This is great! Rob is a super nice guy and a great player. Good stories and just a generally interesting watch:-)
P.S Kieth Scott PLEEEEEEEESE!!!!!!!!! :-)
Were we lucky to be at the Steve Gadd Band gig at Ronnie’s and Mike Landau was quite something!

What a lovely genuine guy,the Captain is ok as well.
I still think Seven Days in Sunny June has the best rhythm guitar playing I’ve ever heard
Charlie Warren the chords are sooooo sweet
It's lovely. Nile Rodgers on "Thinking of You" by Sister Sledge would like to have a word...
^ I wrote that before 11:26 where Mr. Harris talks about hearing it!
Didn't expect a Silver Sky but I know the reasons why this guy chose one
Fear Factory did a very heavy version of Cars.
great stuff! 😀if only there were more sheet music/chord charts available of Jamiroquai's songs 😕
Wow! I love Jamiroquai! I... thought I was the only one.
Joe Robinson Like Drax, nothing goes over your head because you would catch it! Lol. In other words, that was just a joke man.
Joe Robinson Yeah man, and I say this with no sarcasm, but it sounds like that might be a good move.
Judosailor it wasn’t funny. No offense.
^^^^ Joe’s alt account? Lol
Captain - check out Fear Factory's cover of Gary Numan's 'Cars'.

The 12:13 riff is Diana Ross's "Upside Down."
me like it very much
Great guitar waooo máster
I need a jam of this guy with Pete
That part of the Edge is from "classic albums" not the jimmy page en jack white docu.
Cool interview! But the background noise made it very difficult to listen to. You need to get a copy of RX!
At last!
TASTY playing.
Ryan Lauderdale would’ve liked to see more playing.
Was hoping to see his pedalboard.
🤘🏼
Dear Capitain, Cars was done by Fear Factory and they featured Gary Numan in 2007! You might wanna check that out
Nice white Squire !!!!

Hey Lee, pretty sure Fear Factory did a Cars cover you should check it out.
Anyone hear that sound in the background? Sounds like Danish Pete vacuuming. I half expected him to walk across the frame while they were talking, smiling at the camera.
Waiting Rob on That Pedal Show to talk about his stuff O_o
Oh boy that guy has rithym!!!
For a second there, I though you were meeting Rolf Harris. Now, that would have been daring...
The music Jamiroquai plays the kind of music that was playing during the 70's.
I think Rob is tearing it up with Rick Astley in Sheffield tonight!!
I saw Rob at a local masterclass event and then he popped up on here. I hope I come off half as friendly in my videos
The unsung heroes of the music world: The right hand players. Keith Richards still carries the torch
re: 18:57 ....Gary Numan has performed Cars with Nine Inch Nails.
There's some whistle or trebly hum in the background☝🙄. Love Jamiroquai BTW. Cheers from Viamao City - RS Estate - Brazil
single coil pick ups tend to do that
Anybody knows the chords of the intro?? Pleaseee 🙏 sounds great, groovy!!!
Cars, fear factory covered it.... It's awesome
Harris and Honore. Make it so!
ScienceRockifyMe a funk jam.
I wonder why so many in interviews on you tube begin almost every sentence with "but...yeah" or "and yeah" ? Does anyone know how this speech pattern began?
Great Video, but there is allways a high frequent constant tone in the backround!
