Man this taking mental health and ADHD seriously arc has been seriously pushing me toward talking to my doctor about it, but I'm similarly paranoid about it like Destiny was. Idk if the paranoia or possible ADHD is what's holding me back from pursuing it. I also have that "No I'm just lazy, I should be able to make myself do it" mentality he talked about, but hearing them both talk about how much it helps is making me think maybe it's not just laziness.
I'm similar. I don't necessarily think I have ADHD, but hearing all the similarities between Destiny and myself when he lists ADHD indicators is at least thought provoking. I find it very hard to be motivated to do something I don't want to do, and I get easily distracted and demotivated when I am doing something I am not very into. But I am such a consequentialist that I always "Get my crap done" even if I don't want to. Even if it takes several cycles of starting and stopping.
I was on ritalin as a kid, pretty sure i was misdiagnosed, went to the doc and got some amphetamines, still think im misdiagnosed but enjoying the amphetamines 😎
I did. When D-man talked about how he'd be that kid doing assignments/homework in periods between classes so he could game all night.... that was literally me. Talked to a health professional about it, started on vyvanse today. Huge disclaimer of "you shouldn't be taking health advice from a shitter in yt comments with 1 days experience", but it was a pretty good day.
@@Mr6Blindside Oh yeah for sure. I would absolutely talk to a doctor about it and get diagnosed before even trying it haha. I wouldn't go try it out on my own.
