Build your own four-way air up- down system cheap! I also have the Thor's Lightning Compressor and I can air down all four of my 35" BFG's down to 15psi in 3:20, and air them back up to 35psi in 3:30. I built my own hose setup for around 150.00 using 1/4" I.D. hose and fittings.

Will the compressor shut itself off after a few seconds to avoid overpressure if you aren't actively using it?
Yes, it only operates when you press on the trigger to put air in
Do you need to have to squeeze the handle on the pressure gauge to inflate a tire? Or can you lay it on the ground and while it inflates?
