It's a mechanic I was surprised they didn't use it extremely early on
That’s because the dragon usually has to die for it to respawn. The only reason why it worked that one time is because it glitched and respawned the dragon when it was still alive

@@totallynormalperson2915 I think the game got confused. Because they respawned it the SPLIT SECOND it was about to die. So Dream got the last hit and then it instantly respawned, so he never got the achievement. I think it’s just one of those super rare things that can’t be recreated, due to timing

I love the fact that Sam understands mechanics and glitches more than everyone else, but no one can do anything about it so Sam just watches as Dream wins in front of his eyes, with a glitch/mechanic he knows, unable to do anything to stop it 😂
Edit: I saw a lot of comments arguing whether it was a glitch or mechanic so I just changed it to both lmao

Yeah it was not a glitch it just the dragon AI. There is once i built a bedrock tower in the middle of the end and then i like confused so much why the dragon go higher and higher

I think the motto “everything is allowed once” is completely fair. It keeps these videos interesting. Seeing the incredible things Dream and the Hunters come up with to give them a slight advantage. It’s awesome. If you stop banning certain things then they will just be repeated and the episodes will get more boring

Yeah, but I feel agreeing with it puts a okay sign on reviving the dragon, which still to this day leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I suppose I can live with those terms.

I love how technical the manhunts have been getting ever since Sam joined, he really shows that his knowledge of the game and its mechanics to make up for his lack of pvp and movement skills.

i think sam is such a good 5th hunter because of his technical knowledge-he knew about the dragon revival, the mechanic dream used to kill it in 5 hunters finale, and (inadvertently) taught dream to make the flying machine in 5 hunters rematch

The stasis chamber and the moss trap were probably two of my favorite things from this manhunt. It's always fun to watch dream set up traps and waiting to see how they come into play and whatnot. Also Sam freaking out at the end but being unable to do anything about what was happening was amazing.

The whole thing is ludicrous because they all just ignore the fact that the point of manhunts are that it’s NOT fair at all. Dream is massively outnumbered, and has to find a way to get around it. The hunters have 5 brains and 5 bodies going after him and they still struggle to beat him. The “anything is okay once” philosophy is perfect for this, especially since manhunt’s reason for existence is entertainment, who wins and who loses is only of secondary value because if the videos aren’t entertaining, no one cares who wins anyway.
The terror in Sam's voice the moment he realizes what Dream is doing each time always cracks me up haha, and he's the only one who knows Dream's gimmicks which makes it more hilarious how he has to get the other 4 hunters on board as well
Sapnap is actually a real good player now, not only is he killing the MCC’s but he’s also coming the closest to killing dream multiple times now

HAHAHA ACTUALLY! Sapnap has had some crazy progression. He's been able to handle 1V1 with Dream for some time now, but his plays and situational awareness just keep getting better and better.
It’s so interesting since Sam has joined the manhunt series, because so many of these technical plays would have come from teaching dream them.

The hunters stasis chamber argument is actually so dumb. They have the ability to use beds and really have every advantage but when you get a single advantage they get upset.

I would argue that for the stasis chamber, if they didn't lose track of you for such a long time you wouldn't have time to set it up in the first place. That's on them I think.

I totally agree with dream on how he says everything can be done once. But I really do think that stasis chambers should always be allowed. They said it was like fast traveling but its really not since you have to go there before to set it up, then remotely trigger it to teleport back

Honestly Sam needs more credit for his role in the recent manhunts. Like with him being the one to teach dream how to build the red stone thing in the last one and now immediately knowing dream’s plan in the end in this one. He’s a great *addition to the hunters
Edit: okay um… I was just genuinely trying to compliment Sam. Yes, Sam could have probably done some things better but no one can be perfect and he still did great in my opinion so let’s not bring anymore negativity here :)

I still can't believe that dragon resummoning glitch counts as a win for the hunters.
Why? Dream didn't kill the dragon, nor did he get the "Free the End" achievement. The hunters won, simple as that.

I think the stasis chamber is fine (as opposed to nether fast travel) because you actually have to get to wherever you want to Pearl stasis too and set up infrastructure first. It was fun and interesting.

Agreed. Plus, it isn’t really that overpowered - the hunters should have just guarded the portal instead of letting themselves get let away. I think it’s just a mistake similar to when they got trapped above the nether

Technically that respawn thing *should* have counted as Dream's win if it wasn't glitched.
That respawn feature exists to, obviously, respawn the dragon. That means the dragon had to have died to have been respawned. So technically he did kill the dragon and they just spawned a new one. It shouldn't be their win, but they counted it anyway.
@@Just_a_Tool yeah, but thing is, that a lot of manhunts ago they killed him after he killed the dragon, but before he entered the fountain. They made a point, and they were right, that you get ending credits when you enter the fountain, not kill the dragon, therefore to win you have to enter the fountain. When they respawned the dragon, he didn't enter the fountain. So technically, he didn't win. I'd give that one in favour of hunters, but this one is definitely Dream's win

The "on-limit once" rule also makes sense for the content: OP strats are very entertaining, but only once. The second time it will just be boring because the suspense is gone.
i mean yeah, but it would also be fun to see them try and counter the strats. that's what I loved about the beginning of the series, where things were getting discovered but then wasn't usable again because the other party adapted. The fast travel for instance, why were they letting themselves get led away? just go trap the end portal instead.. we've also seen both parties use op strats at the dragon, what would happen if those were to collide?
just my opinion tho, the series is amazing regardless
@@julieismeok Ye they couldn't trap the portal anymore since they made that a rule after the 3v1 manhunts and they were trying to lead dream away from the portal and of course didn't know about the stasis chamber but I agree seeing them come up with counters for each other's strats would be amazing

I would love to see an unfiltered special episode where all tricks are available, but i understand why they have to keep the main series filtered. more than anything i just wish they'd give the strats a few chances before deciding they're op. Everything's op the first time you see it.

Lol it’s pretty much a timed ender pearl
Ender pearl stasis chambers hold an ender pearl to be activated at a later time. Ender pearls teleport you as soon as they hit the ground, but bubble elevators hold them until you want to activate them. In this case, Dream set up a daylight sensor to activate a trapdoor, which teleports him when it hits a certain time of day.

If the hunters and Dream can do it - it's allowed
If the enderdragon dies with dream still alive - he wins
If dream dies before the enderdragon is dead - they win

I really loved how Sam knew what Dream was doing at the end there. You could just *hear* the panic, and everyone else was just so confused as to what was going on. It's always funny when they don't understand, but seeing him fully understand what was happening was really cool.
It's kinda BS right now how everyone is whining about a strat Dream uses. I think stasis chambers are okay. Because THEY can set them up too

My two cents i don’t think pearl stasis chambers are that op, since you have to build one with hard to get resources and leave it there. It can also be trapped if they find it :)
Resources aren’t that hard to get. The hunters were just stupid and didn’t have someone stay back at the stronghold.

they say it's not fare but they brought back the ender dragon back to life again in one of the manhunts. honestly they kind of deserved it, not in a bad way, but it just makes sense
I loved that this manhunt was in 1.17. The chases in the cave and the nether especially were literally top 3 favorite chases out of every manhunt so far. Also, the stasis chamber play was so good. I wasn't sure what he was doing at first, but as soon as I saw the trapdoor I was like, "He's gonna use a stasis chamber isn't he" and then he pulled that big brain play to get to the stronghold without them and I loved it. Great manhunt, I loved it!!

@@Dr34mC4tch3r actually it's 1.17 with the caves datapack. The 1.18 experimental snapshots had a broken nether and end, and couldn't be beaten (plus they had the mountains too)
I'm always impressed by Sam's knowledge of the game mechanics and their usages and exploits. like he genuinely seems so well versed in the technical side of how the game works and i hope that he someday finds a cool thing to use against dream that is as cool as this end dragon moment
He is literally the only Hunter that manage to understand the Minecraft mechanics:) im so proud

Please don't ban them, but don't use them frequently. It's really entertaining to watch the stasis chamber escape
Honestly, I feel like mobility things like that should be for the hunters only. Them being able to teleport isn't nearly as impactful as dream doing it. Plus, just imagine if they rigged up a stasis in the portal room and straight up flanked Dream when he made an escape. That would be insane.

Easy to make sure but hardly effective when the time is day and night. Hunters wouldn't be able to use it since they may get pulled in inopportune times. You basically rope yourself. Plus they have beds
Now for the Hunted is 100% more effective since it's an easy escape route
Fun fact: Once you do a very big brain play you cannot re-use it in manhunt, this is a rule in manhunt because its very overpowered
Oh and also dream has to go back to his portal which he broke that rule in this one, so that means he cant fast travel
@@unfortunateRM With 5 hunters, they could do the same thing they did with the nether portal and leave someone. With daylight sensors it would be too risky, but dream might not notice a missing Hunter, especially if he expects that person to be gathering for the rest.
Having someone like Awesamdude who has the same amount of game knowledge makes the manhunt so much more interesting and fun
