And all the people spending too much time playing with plugins and not making great songs . That is what me as a music fan cares about great songs. No plug in will make a bad song or track or beat sound good brother. Dame is not a liar. He is some one with a valuable appreciation for music. I don’t always agree with everything he says but he s definitely right about this subject. Go and listen to your favourite five songs and than listen tto this beat you are working on ignore the mix and listen to the sound selection first. Trust me bro. You don’t fix it in the mix you pick the right sounds for the mix .
Song sound Selection is Lways good.but as a engineer yes he could have changed sounds. But it had too much compression .if you teach him how to use software properly he would have been able too hear it.his ear ain't trained and he double looses because dame don't teach them how and why u use plug-ins and not to watch engineers or producers then this is what happens but a stupid teacher.dame said on a kick high pass to 130 u do it .ur kick will sound fucked up he don't know shot thats why my student learn the right way here
