Hi Helen. I hope you have a really Happy Mother’s Day! Unfortunately,I’m not a baker, cook or seamstress but I do enjoy watching your ‘ at home with Helen’ videos. I really admire all your skills and the results are so impressive. Ah- that beautiful birdsong- I could listen to that all day long! 💖🌸
Thank you very much, hope you have a lovely day xx
✨so funny to tell your mum to watch herself making the chicken casserole. you are a hoot! great vid! i have one of those cooling quilts- it is GREAT.
Haha, thank you xx
Honestly Helen I think I'm losing the plot😃I've spent a lot of your great video pausing it to hear the non existing birds outside ,clearly the birds stopped when I paused , I must have paused it 3 times before the penny dropped, they really felt to me they where here( Odear😂😂 )urgent help is needed, love watching you sharing your tips❤❤
Hilarious, thank you xx
😅
Thankyou Helen a nice little change for us tonight, will try the spec case as have a box full of little leftover fabrics. I'm busy sewing with two other ladies from my craft club, we're making 27 shopping bags to hang over the handles of wheelchairs in Lourdes. We think they would be handy for cajoules, water bottles etc, they are all in the same distinctive fabric and we're really pleased with how they are turning out. We've paid for this project out of money we raised through our xmas fayre. Thankyou for sharing your day with us all, luvnhugs Margaretx
That sounds lovely.
Thank you xx
Great wee project. More please. Xx
Thank you xx
Never get bored with Helen!!
That's good xx
Hi Helen, As I am aging I am finding increasingly harder to get a good comfortable nights sleep. This is largely due to my pillows I believe. Whilst they are not cheap pillows I think one of these pillows may possibly help with a painful neck in the morning. Love how easy the butter method is and as I cannot have much salt this seems ideal. Thank you for sharing, enjoy your weekend. Take care xx
I must have bought six or seven different types of pillow in the past year tina, but recently found out I have cervical spondylosis (wear and tear arthritis of the neck)! Since I started physiotherapy four months ago it's gradually starting to improve. I'm not saying don't try a different pillow - but perhaps not as many as I did!
It is trial and error for sure. xx
Glad you've found something that helps.xx
My aunt used to make butter straight from the cows ,she used to churn it and she had wooden pats to shape it . If only then was now I was to young to appreciate it .
Yes, that's what they did in Ireland too when I was little, but as you say, never even thought about it back then xx
Helen, one of the reasons I like your videos is because although you're so talented and obviously good at interior design and craft work etc, you're so very normal and witty. I love to see the finished results of your at home vidoes doing things I wouldn’t have the patience for. Had to check our patio door was closed because your birds have a few relatives living in our trees just outside here in NI! All the best to Rob for his procedure. It'll be good for both of you when it's all over. ❤
Thank you very much, that's very kind xx
Thanks Helen. Love your sharing ‘ home with Helen ‘. Hope you had time to enjoy the sun x
Yes, thank you it's been lovely. xx
Love your At Home with Helen videos. Thank you, watching you make butter took me back to a really wonderful time in my childhood, with Nan and Great Aunt… making butter, scones and a glorious Victoria Sandwich cake. 🍰💕
Ah, that's lovely.
Thank you xx
Hi Helen, so enjoyed that…a bit of everything. Must have a go at making butter as you explained it so well. Last night, Friday 10th, my eldest son sent me three photos on his phone of the Northern Lights … phenomenal and if it hadn’t been nearly midnight I would have driven the 5 miles to his home to see them. 😆🏴 xx
Yes, we've had them here too, but I was too tired to stay up and look ...xx
I would say that was a very productive day. Well done! 🌹🌹
Thank you xx
Hi Helen, I made the bread a week ago turned out really well thanks for the easy recipe Karen x
It's fab isn't it?! xx
Glasses case is so good, could make it as a key ring to pop the keys inside to save scratching or catching inside your bag. So satisfying when you sort out a draw or cupboard! X
That's a great idea! xx
Hi Helen ❤ So lovely to see you , thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching! xx
This reminds me of homework when i was 8. We did not have any electrical tools so we whipped by hand. Thanks Helen you are the best. ❤
Ah, thank you xx
I didn’t realise you would get so much butter out of that pot of cream, enjoyable video,I like these varied ones, will definitely try the butter.I do lots of crafts and always like to see more, thanks Helen❤
It's very satisfying xx
I love your at Home with Helen I love to watch you making things I am useless at anything like that. Loved seeing you make your butter, I presume you can spread it on bread or scones with jam as well. Very interested in the cool quilt will have a look at that. Thank you for sharing.❤️❤️
Yes, it's just normal butter. xx
Really enjoyed this thank you i will be trying the butter and definitely making the glass case ❤
You’re welcome 😊 xx
Blue gingham is simply beautiful on you Helen.🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸
Thank you very much xx
I really enjoyed watching the butter making, thanks for sharing Helen ❤
My pleasure xx
Thank you Helen for all those useful tips. The quilt is a really good innovative idea I have my quilt on and off all night😜I love looking around your fab home (I’m so nosey) I also love sorting out drawers and cupboards and boy once I start I just want to do more. Now we have retired we have time to do that all the small things you put up with can now be done. You are so practical like me why throw things away when they seem perfectly good go by the smell that is what I tell my kids. Looking forward to more. Xxxx
My pleasure, thank you for watching xx
Hi Helen, I thoroughly enjoy your At Home with videos - always interesting and entertaining 😊 Thank you for sharing xx

My pleasure xx
Helen Congratulations. Nearly 20.000 viewers..hurray. Tomorrow I'm baking my cake to celebrate when you have your Party. I'll put it in the freezer. Making Lemon luscious cake.
Ooh fabulous xx
I remember my grandmother making butter with a butter churn when we went to Ireland for our holidays. The milk was straight from the cow and the butter had a very strong taste. X
I bet it did.
No health and safety then... haha, great memories. xx
Hi Helen, I really enjoyed this vlog.
The bread looks so delicious along with the butter...if your free ill pop round with the jam 😂😊
Love the glasses case, too.
Thank you as always for sharing your day and your household tips.
Enjoy your weekend 🤞the sun will put in an appearance 😊❤
Thank you very much xx
My husband asked if you have even responded tome, told him yes, once when someone said you walked like a drunken sailor. And I said you had told use you had a bad hip. I told him your channel has grown and I wouldn’t expect a comment back now as you have so many followers.
I still reply. xx
I recently sorted my spices and could not believe that one of them expired 2019 !!! I do not remember why I bought it (Dill tips) and definitely will not be replacing it. Time flies. x
It was funny when we were moving Mum to her new house a few years back, some of the items made us really laugh as she had no idea why she had bought them. We are all the same. xx
Glass cases can be made using old ties
Good idea xx
Lovely video. That was interesting making the cream into butter. Thanks Helen.
Glad you enjoyed it xx
Hi Helen great vlog sooo interesting really talented lady for sure thank you 👏👏 and doesn’t your hair grow quickly looks lovely well done you x
It really does!
Thank you xx
Hiya Helen, love your terminology “ our thermostats have gone “ 😊couldn’t say it better myself xxx ❤
Thank you xx
You are very talented Helen. I really enjoyed the butter making. I didn't know that's all butter was 😮😂❤
Ps your house and garden looks gorgeous x
It's so easy.
And thank you xx
Hi Helen,I have made a lot of butter at the restaurants I have worked at from heavy cream that was about to go off,and I never found it necessary to put it in ice water,I just took it out of the Hobart, and squeezed it through cheese cloth,I don’t know if it makes a difference that I would be using about 10 quarts of cream at a time.Maybe a small amount gets too warm, and needs the ice.I also often have milk that is going off,so I make cheese, and the whey I freeze, and use when I make soup,I just love it in soup,so you could freeze it,and use for scones,or soup, you can make ricotta too, though I never have enough whey to make that practical.
The ice part just seems to make it purer, but not sure if it's absolutely necessary xx
Thank you Helen, brilliant as usual, I never knew you could that with cream and will be doing it in future. Also love the idea of the glasses case as like you I never have room for my case (they are heavy as well) in my handbags and I need them as they are prescription lenses, so it’s on my list to make. 👓👓👓
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you xx
Great 'at home' video, you are brilliant at everything!
I'm really not! But thank you xx
Loved this Helen really enjoy your At home with Helen vids xx
I’m the same with the pantry store … some dates 2019 😮🤷♀️😢 xx
Haha, I think we're all the same. Well most of us anyway!
Thank you xx
@@Helenmaryjo I think we are 😆 xx
Brilliant idea to make butter Helen, how many times have we thrown cream away thinking it was out of date,
This was a close call, it was over two weeks past it's sell by! xx
Thank you Helen you are so talented thanks for sharing. ❤😊😊
Oh, thank you xx
Excellent Helen! Loved this!😊❤x
Thanks so much! 😊 xx
Hi 👋 Helen great video I have the same mixer never use it I will try the butter for sure I used to do a lot of sewing but don’t do it now as you get older things don’t seem so much fun anymore 😊
That's why I like 'quick projects' xx
Thank u so much for sharing! Glad you like them, enjoy the comfort!🥰#zamathome #pillow #sleep
Thank you xx
Great video ? I don’t believe your herb and spices shelf is the same as mine !!! Love it ,great stuff xxxxx Thank you for all your content Helen ,I just love it and I’ve told you loads of time xxx looking forward to more xxx
Ah, thank you Collette xx
Lovely video, Saturday night treat! X
Glad you enjoyed it xx
Helen you have been busy. Very quick butter. Love the wee glasses holder. Thanks for showing.xx
I like little projects xx
You’re really talented Helen, thanks for sharing ❤xxxx
Thanks so much 😊 xx
Thanks for showing us how to make butter as I don't use milk & buy cream for my coffee sometimes I get to when it is past its use by date too and didn't realise you could turn it into butter. I only have a hand beater so might take a while but looks easy!
You can put it in a jar and shake it too, it has the same effect. Good exercise! haha xx
Great video as always 😘 you can water that whey down really well, and water your plants with it x
Thanks for the tip! xx
I love the sunglasses case and I plan to make some for my sisters.
Fab xx
Helen, I think English butter and cream are the best in the world from your beautiful English cows and lush grass. Wish I could get a pint and a few pounds!! Nice project !!
Thank you xx
Love your eye glass video Helen. Going to make some.
They are very satisfying xx
Ooh, lovely Saturday evening treat! I’m typing this mid-watch, so I might jump the gun. For those ‘of us of an age’ my best buy in pillows were investing in wool pillows. The moisture wicking, natural product has given me much better sleep. My next investment will be a wool duvet. Sounds counterintuitive as wool is known for its warmth, but trust me it make such a difference.
Hi I recently bought a wool pillow too and am experimenting with different pillows as find it very hard to find one I like & so far very happy with the wool one too. Also was shocked at the cost of pillows nowadays (at least in NZ) some are very expensive but managed to get the wool one 60% off. I have had a wool duvet for years and years it is one that you can pull apart and join together for more warmth (effectively 2 duvets). The only thing is I find it a bit heavy but have had it for years and is still going strong.
That sounds good. xx
That was very interesting Helen thank you. I wondered if you made your wrist pin cushion as it looks so handy also in your pantry cupboard what are your small spice jars in? It looks like it fits on the inside of the door a good use of space. I was amazed at how you made the butter too-so clever.
Thank you. The spice shelf was from Amazon, I just found one that fitted the dimensions of my door. Obviously, you need space inside the cupboard too xx
Lady of many talents 👏 xxx
Thank you xx
Love the sunglasses case. !
Thank you xx
Just a thought, as that butter was an extra you could add maple syrup or honey and whip it to make a light flavoured sweet butter
Good idea, thank you xx
I make butter often too it’s so easy and delicious. Always thought cheese making produces curds and whey.
Butter too xx
Thanks Helen x soon be summer x God bless x
My pleasure, thank you xx
Good Evening HMJ,
Wow! What patience 😊.
Haha, I have no patience! xx
Well done
Thank you xx
Watching this while Eurovision is on the TV! What’s happened to. It! 🫢😉 great video Helen and loved you glass case!
Yeah - bring back Katie Boyle.
We don't watch it. xx
Hi Helen, a " hells bell" here lol.. in one of your videos, you mention a leg tan you use, I did write it down at the time, but now I can't find it. Can I trouble you for the name please. Thank you for the videos, which I enjoy and useful tips you give out along the way, like the washing up liquid and white vinegar , after my showers, works a treat! Laura x
Thank you.
This is what I use, it's a leg make up, but it is brilliant. Once it's dry it doesn't come off until you wash it off. In my experience anyway.... xx

@Helenmaryjo thank you Helen, I will give it a try. X
Agh I did not know that was what Rob did. Yes. A noble art. A hard role.
Thank you xx
I thought I had commented on this video, but it is not showing for some reason. I think I said I love these video's and that I had cleared my pantry cupboard out too and it was a dreaded job but very therapeutic. Also Helen, how much cream did you use to make your butter ?
Thank you, that was a 600 ml carton of double cream. xx
I adore the glasses case Helen! Do you make them to order at all? ❤
Haha, no, sorry xx
You haven’t said who the pillow and comforter are made by, and how much the cost,
I think I do say Zamathome. The cost varies dependent on discount etc. But the links are in the description box. xx
Where did you get your lovely denim dress from?
It was from Next a couple of years ago xx
Thanks for the tips Helen and I enjoyed the video as usual. How are you getting on with the And Begin cream serum? I signed up with them and really liked the product. However I’ve now discovered they are moving from every 6 weeks at £39.99 for 30ml to a monthly subscription/payment of £29.99 but for only 18ml which is a 25% increase in £ per ml. 😡
Definitely not what I signed up for so I’ve cancelled my subscription. Such a shame as it’s a really lovely product.
Hi, I love the serum and I do think that it is making a difference. I'm sorry to hear that about the subscription price. Have you been in touch with the company? They were really very nice to work with. It might be worth reaching out to them with your observation.
Thank you xx
@@Helenmaryjo
I’ve emailed them with my concerns as their customer service is excellent. I made a complete hash of the initial questionnaire and they very nicely questioned my replies which made me 74 and pregnant, a finger slip obvs 😂 let’s see what they say about the subscription change. Thanks for your reply to my comment though, the amount you get must take you all day to reply to!
@@lesleylushington4979 Not at all, let me know how you get on. The cream is very good in my humble opinion, but has to be reasonably priced. xx
Me again, I just received a lovely email from Tia at AB who apologised for the fact I hadn’t been informed of their new pricing as all new customers will be signing up at the new price of £29.99 4 weekly for 18ml and existing customers will be moved onto the new subscription. As a gesture of goodwill they refunded my order but asked me to keep and use it. Their customer service skills are exemplary but the product, although lovely is just not affordable for me currently ☹️
@@lesleylushington4979 well that’s good customer service anyway.
Have a look at The Ordinary I’ve heard good things about them xx
My husband recognized your voice now lol.
Lucky chap! haha xx
Ha ha im watching using headphones and im looking for my dog growling only for you to say its Dolly😂😂😂
Oops! haha
