    How do you know how much paint to put out when you working on a canvas and not waste your paint?

      I usually just guess. Sometimes I do better than others. I obviously put out way too much Ultramarine and Magenta for this one. Lol.

      But I usually do try to think of which colors I might use more. If it is fairly even I will just put put about a nickel size dollop for each color with the heavy body acrylic. It goes farther than you think. And sometimes I will use the leftover colors to paint grounds on blamk canvases. It helps to have color on the canvas sometimes. So if you have a bunch of paint leftover try using it that way. :)
